A Penny For Your Thoughts

Greetings Kids! So nice to see you.

How was your weekend? πŸ™‚

I’ve been thinking….
We haven’t had a weekly question in ages, so how about one for today?

I don’t have to tell you that the economy seems to be in a holding pattern, and that gas prices certainly aren’t helping.

My question is: What are a couple of your favorite tips for saving money?

Eventually, I’d like to place a “button” right over there in my sidebar, (maybe a dollar sign?) which will link to the list we come up with!

It should be fun. πŸ™‚

Of course, I’ll add mine too!

Hi Kids,
It’s not like me to forget a holiday, but I did!

Here in Massachusetts, today is Patriots’ Day, which is a state holiday.

Sir Beads has the day off and we’re on our way out to do a little shopping, but I had to pop in to say hello, and also to ask the weekly question. πŸ˜€

Do you think too much or too little?

What Weekend?

Is it Monday already?

The weekend certainly flew by. I wish I could report we were having fun – but we were immersed in our taxes. I’m sure if you look in a thesaurus for the opposite of “fun”, you’ll see the word “taxes”. πŸ˜‰ But I won’t whine. A weekend is a weekend, after all!

Easter will be arriving towards the end of the month, so how about a holiday-related weekly question?

Do you have (or have you had) any particular Easter traditions?

While my kids were growing up, I loved to hide eggs for them. I used those colorful plastic eggs that open easily. I’d fill them with candy, tiny toys, and coins (pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters). I always placed one in their slippers so they’d find it as soon as they got out of bed. The rest were spread all over the house.

When the girls were really young, we left Easter Bunny footprints for them to discover on Easter morning. Sir Beads and I could make some pretty impressive paw prints by dipping a few fingers in flour, and then pressing them here and there on a dark carpet or even the floor. The kids were enchanted to find “bunny tracks” in the living room and leading down the stairs.

Good times, for sure! πŸ˜€

Sealed With A Kiss

Good Monday, Kids! πŸ˜€
Hope you had a great weekend.

Today is a holiday but Sir Beads has to work. However, I’m happy to report, that we did enjoy a 3-day weekend anyway – Fri., Sat., and Sun.! We needed the break and can’t figure out why we don’t do it more often.

Amidst the relaxation, I thought of you and I have a new weekly question.

Ready? πŸ™‚

Ok . . . Look in your purse and tell us the “name” of your lipstick and also the brand!

Is it your favorite?

Do you switch often or do you have a tried and true signature color and brand?

Or maybe you prefer to wear a little lip balm only?

My answer:

Clinique, Violet Berry! I’ve worn it for several years now and I just dread the day they’ll tell me it’s been discontinued. Love the color and that it stays on pretty well too.
