Today is a holiday but Sir Beads has to work. However, I’m happy to report, that we did enjoy a 3-day weekend anyway – Fri., Sat., and Sun.! We needed the break and can’t figure out why we don’t do it more often.
Amidst the relaxation, I thought of you and I have a new weekly question.

Is it your favorite?
Do you switch often or do you have a tried and true signature color and brand?
Or maybe you prefer to wear a little lip balm only?
My answer:
Clinique, Violet Berry! I’ve worn it for several years now and I just dread the day they’ll tell me it’s been discontinued. Love the color and that it stays on pretty well too.

I had a great weekend, hubs worked all weekend but we enjoyed the evenings.
I don’t wear lipstick, gloss and rarely lip balm. I hate the feeling of stuff on my lips. I’m not sure why I hate that feeling so much, but I wouldn’t even wear it in high school.
This weeks celebrations include alot of holidays for dog lovers.

Since I have had my teeth pulled, I see no reason to draw attention to my mouth right now. And I am here to tell you that its not as big as everyone told me it is!!
But on April 5th I’ll be on a new mission to procure a new set of falsies.
I took the opportunity to throw out all old lipsticks. Then, I’ll shop for a new brand/color of super stay one plumy pink frosted color. I love lipstick and hate to be without it. It brings a glow to your face and gives you a polished look.
BTW, EVERY day is dog bone appreciation day here! They eat them for clean breath!! and healthy teeth. I LOVE my muts.

Lip balm: Burt’s Bees Watermelon.
I like all kinds of lipsticks – balms, gloss, and regular but always go back to Burt’s Bees.
L’oreal Mauved, I usually put a little gloss or lip balm on top so it isn’t so “frosty” looking but I really like the color. I have worn it for years; it goes well with my coloring. I also like Sephora Maniac (#18), it is almost the color of my natural lip color.
Margarita day and Tortilla chip day should be on the SAME day! Maybe I will just celebrate twice! 🙂

I have used L’oreal Mauved! 🙂 I always go for a pink/plum/rose/mauve shade. I can’t wear the peachy/coral shades at all! I’m going to check out Sephora #18. Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
mm i always keep a blistex lip medex in my purse,of course it is a freezing cold winter here.I dont keep cosmetics in my purse normally ,mind you i dont wear any on a daily basis.If we are going out for dinner or something i.ll do my make up and take whatever lipstick i choose that day in my purse.I dont stick to any one brand either,i buy whatever i like the look of thats a good price 🙂
I’m really not into makeup, but I wear a bit of lipstick on top of lip gloss. LOL – just realized that my current combination sounds so risque… NYC Liquid Lipshine (Nude York City) with a bit of Rimmel (Metallic Seduction) on top.
I also had a favorite Clinique shade years ago that got discontinued…along with the matching nail polish, but they were kinda too dark for my complexion anyways.

I’m going to jot down your brand and color to try, Crystal.
Right now I’m LOVING Cover Girl’s Outlast Lipstains. They’re like a magic markers for your lips, and I find they stay on all day. I use a very light touch when applying, and then add a bit of lip gloss on top. I have two shades I really like so far, but the one I have in my purse is #435.
