Show and Tell Tuesday

Welcome to this week’s Show and Tell Tuesday!

Remember when Allison sent a picture of her new baby, Robert, last November? 🙂

Well, wait ’til you see him, now! The little guy has grown so much.

A couple of weeks ago, I received a note with more recent photos and I fell in love at first glance! Isn’t he absolutely darling?!?!

There was just no way I could choose which photos to post – each one is sweeter than the last – so I made collages!

Allison says: “The picture with the white hat and car seat straps is my husband’s favorite! He has it as the wallpaper on his phone. Robert hates the hat and used to hate the car seat, too. He used to cry when he got strapped in but now he finds that going places is fun and interesting! He is about to wail in that picture, I think it is really funny.”

“He DOES NOT like the flash!! He kind of looks like a deer caught in the headlights in some of them! The camera takes much better pictures than the cell phone, but I always have my phone with me and never the camera. These are all pretty new, within the past few weeks or so. The ones from the phone are older. He is such a good sweet baby!! We all adore him!!! His 6 month check up went great! He is 16 lbs 6 oz, and 26″ long. Still just 25th percentile but perfectly healthy! We think he is huge, though!”

Thank you so much, Allison.

Sending big hugs to your sweet little boy! 😀

Show and Tell Tuesday

Welcome!

For this week’s Show and Tell Tuesday, I’m delighted to announce that there are three new “What’s on your Refrigerator?” photos! 😀

So, in the order received . . .

We have Clenna’s!

Clenna says: “I am so embarrassed about my fridge but I have to own up to it. On top left in basket– bibs (for grand daughter), Wet ones in the middle to grab and take with me when running out the door. On right – epipen for bee sting, recipes and behind that mess – cook books. Top left – coupons in baggies, cartoon with dog magnet, a notepad- which says “Dog HAS eaten” written this AM as I was heading out the door to work. Right side top – obituary of a dear friend, Southwest schedule – I returned last Monday night, pictures of grand kids, political cartoon. Below – middle on right side – article on upcoming Woman’s Expo, pix of engaged couple, another Golden Retriever magnet, another cartoon – we love humor! And lots of magnets for the grand daughter to play with.” 😀

Next, here’s Yona’s!

Yona says: “I know I’m late, but I couldn’t resist – had to share my fridge too even though it pales in comparison to the others. Mine is so boring, but here it goes: I have a Georgetown Bulldog magnet (my sweetie’s favorite team) and a dog with bone of my own that I got at the Dollar Store. My stepson’s basketball team spirit magnet. 2 graduation pictures (blurred because some people are Internet-paranoid). 3 magnets from Hawaii, including a hand-painted surfboard with my name and my sweetie’s name. Also, 3 Fortune cookie wrappers.”

And, here’s Allison’s!

Allison says: On the front, one door is Annelise and the other door is Robert.
On the side, there are random other pictures: more of Annelise, one of me on Luca, two of my old dogs that have passed away, an old horse of mine named Sleeper that has also passed away (pictured with my sister and me), lots of fun magnets and a research paper assignment sheet for Annelise. There is usually some of Annelise’s artwork, although none at the moment!”

This is so much fun! Thank you, Kids. 😀

You know I’m always delighted to showcase your photos on Show and Tell Tuesday.

Remember that the subject can be almost anything – people, pets, something you’re making, home repairs (in progress or finished), your garden, bargains you’ve found, holiday decorations, a scene in your hometown, last night’s casserole (with the recipe, please!), or something you choose!

If you’re worried about cropping or sizing, I can do that for you.

Send your photo(s) to: crystal (at) beadhappilyeverafter(dot) com

Show and Tell Tuesday

Welcome to this week’s Show and Tell Tuesday!

For a couple of years, now, I’ve known that Allison loves horses from comments she has left here on the blog. Recently though, she surprised me by sending this wonderful photo along with some background information on her experiences . . .

“This was taken a couple of years ago at a horse show. It is me on a horse named ‘Luca’.”

“He is a German Warmblood that some good friends of mine own and who were kind enough to let me ride and show. He was VERY fun to ride and we always placed very well. We were champions for the year at our local horse show association.
(in ’08, when this picture was taken)

I have been riding since I was 4 and showing almost as long. I love horse showing because it gives me something to work towards and I can judge my progress. You never stop learning with horses! I have not ridden in the past year (pregnancy + delivery), but once the weather warms up, I will be back in the saddle!!”

Thank you so much, Allison! It is a real treat to see you with your beautiful friend! 🙂

How about you?

We’d love to see anything you’d like to share!

If you are worried about cropping or sizing, I can do that for you.

Show and Tell Tuesday

This week, I’m afraid you’re stuck with a Show and Tell Tuesday from me – same-old, same-old! 😉

But you Kids know I’d much rather have your photos! Remember, you can send pictures of anything you like – family, pets, back yard, favorite knick knack or collectible, craft project you are in the middle of (or have finished), last night’s dinner, book you’re reading, favorite snack, sentimental possession (Grandma’s brooch, etc.), the “bargain” you just purchased, or anything you just bought! Or none of the above – but something you choose! 🙂

I was sorting through some old photos and found these pictures of the little gift shop I had 20 years ago {Twenty??? thud! (I just fainted.)}.

Anyway, the shop was located in a refurbished barn. There were about 8 or 10 of us, each with our own section of a two-floor building. It was a charming mix of gifts, gourmet foods, and antiques. Country decor was very much in vogue at that time and my shop had quite a bit of it. A large proportion of my items were made by me, but I also had things on consignment from some wonderfully talented artisans.

Seeing this first photo reminds me of the fun I had during that time. Of course, it was also a lot of work to keep the shop stocked and looking pretty, but when you’re doing something you enjoy, you don’t really mind all the effort it requires.

Won’t you sign the Guest Book? 😉

Pillows and Quilting and Dolls – Oh My!

My mother made the large quilt. 🙂

Believe it or not, these Kitchen Angels were incredibly popular. I actually made hundreds of them during those years. One day, a lady came into the shop and bought all that you see in this photo. I was thrilled, needless to say!

More Cloth Dolls and Bunnies

My daughter pleaded with me not to sell the little doll with a bonnet (the one who’s holding a baby) – so I took her off the shelf after this photo was taken. That doll is here in the room with me now as I type – 20 years later! 😉

So, as Kevin Arnold (from The Wonder Years) would say . . . “And there you have it.”

Hope you liked my little gift shop show and tell.
