Otherwise, we might not have known that yesterday was National Underwear Day! Isn’t that a riot? 🙂
I guess the best way to celebrate would be to go out and buy some pretty new “unmentionables” (which is how a “young lady” would refer to her undergarments when I was growing up).
Thank heaven women no longer have to suffer with corsets, girdles, or whalebone stays. Although underwires are still around and they can be tortuous!
And I wonder if somebody should spank the maker of Spanx. After all, a girdle by any other name is still a girdle. Shouldn’t we embrace our natural [bulges] curves in this brave new millennium?

Gosh yes, those underwires are killers. I just can’t get comfy in those, and always end up taking the wires out…and those wires are sooo strong…it’s like metal from another world! I find it’s getting more and more difficult to find a nice bra without underwires!

I don’t know about you but the thong seems to be as uncomfortable as some of the other garments women have worn. I know I’m in the ‘older” I mean “mature’ generation but a thong is a scary thing to a woman with curves! (or as Crystal says – bulges)! Can you see someone 60, 70, or 80 wearing a thong!
OMG!!! Just please tell me the PURPOSE of a thong, other than for the waist straps to stick out the top of jeans when a girl bends over and a guy gets to ogle them and drool. Huh,,,What IS the purpose!
Well, maybe thong bikinis have a use. Tan butts. But what the heck is the purpose for tan butts????

I NEED my underwires. Without underwires my ***** would be sadly drooping. I love my underwires! They are as important to me as elastic in my straps.
