Your old pal lovable friend, Crystal, is looking for a teeny tiny favor . . . ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh no, what does she want THIS time?!?

Last nightโ€™s dinner
A book you’re reading
Favorite snack
Sentimental possession (Grandmaโ€™s brooch, etc.)
The โ€œbargainโ€ you just purchased, or anything you just bought!
None of the above โ€“ but something you choose to send!

A relatively clear photo is preferable, but I may be able to sharpen or brighten one that you are not sure about. Just email it to me at the following address:

What Day Is It?

Hi there, Kids! ๐Ÿ˜€

If you have a chance to regularly read the comments here, then you know that Kelly Ann usually gives us a little weekly report on what “holidays” are scheduled for that week. It’s always fun to read the variety on her list, and it’s very sweet of her to take the time to compile it for us.

For example, this week in one of her comments, she let us know that

Monday was National Sausage Pizza Day (along with Columbus Day).

Tuesday was International Moment of Frustration Scream Day (Crystal says: “Gosh, don’t ya just love that one?”)

Wednesday was National Bring Your Teddy Bear To Work & School Day

Friday (tomorrow) will be Bossโ€™s Day

Of course there can’t be “holidays” EVERY day of the week, but there’s an interesting coincidence about this week’s list!

Did you happen to notice there wasn’t anything for today – Thursday? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Could the reason be that today is . . . .

CAROL’S BIRTHDAY??!!??

Please join me in wishing Carol a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY – filled with fun and sweet surprises! ๐Ÿ˜€

(I’d love to wish YOU a happy birthday on your day, too. Just click here to let me know the date!)

I’m here!

Boy am I dumb!

I forgot this was Columbus Day Weekend, a 3-day weekend for Sir Beads! Usually, whenever dear husband doesn’t have to go to work, I take a day off from the blog, as well.

But! I promised you on Friday I’d be here – so here I am.

Hello there! ๐Ÿ˜€

Honestly, Kids, sometimes when I think back on the simple things that brought joy when I was little, I wonder if today’s kids would ever understand.

Do you think after you’ve had a laptop, a cell phone, a video camera, etc., you could ever be impressed with a piece of colorful paper?

Paper Dolls

Click picture twice to fully enlarge.

But impressed we were with paper dolls. Whether they were in a magazine or from a “store-bought” booklet, it was an enjoyable couple of hours to carefully cut out all of the little pieces and play fashion coordinator for the doll. I remember I once had a set that was magnetic – oh la la! – that was high tech! No paper tabs were needed!

The page above is from a vintage French publication. Isn’t she sweet? If you decide to print, cut them out, and play with them – well, who could blame you? ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Remember to click to enlarge, first!)

(Weekly question – tomorrow!!)

Hugs,
