Cute Couple

For this week’s Friday Favorites, I have a unique pair of paper dolls from a Vintage French publication! Ah, paper dolls – loved ’em when I was a kid!

Although this couple share the same last name, they are not married.

She is a “Miss”!

Maybe they’re brother and sister, or cousins?

Perhaps we’re being too nosy. ๐Ÿ˜‰

First, we have the young lady in a spiffy swimsuit!

And here’s the rest of her wardrobe.

Next – the gentleman. Is it me, or does this fellow look as if he’s one sandwich short of a picnic? Something about his expression.

I’m not sure the eyeglasses and facial hair do anything to allay my fears. Nice vest though!

Thanks so much for another fun week, Kids!

I am positive I have the best readers in all of blogland and I love every one of ya!

Enjoy the weekend. Shall we all meet back here on Monday? ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m here!

Boy am I dumb!

I forgot this was Columbus Day Weekend, a 3-day weekend for Sir Beads! Usually, whenever dear husband doesn’t have to go to work, I take a day off from the blog, as well.

But! I promised you on Friday I’d be here – so here I am.

Hello there! ๐Ÿ˜€

Honestly, Kids, sometimes when I think back on the simple things that brought joy when I was little, I wonder if today’s kids would ever understand.

Do you think after you’ve had a laptop, a cell phone, a video camera, etc., you could ever be impressed with a piece of colorful paper?

Paper Dolls

But impressed we were with paper dolls. Whether they were in a magazine or from a “store-bought” booklet, it was an enjoyable couple of hours to carefully cut out all of the little pieces and play fashion coordinator for the doll. I remember I once had a set that was magnetic – oh la la! – that was high tech! No paper tabs were needed!

The page above is from a vintage French publication. Isn’t she sweet? If you decide to print, cut them out, and play with them – well, who could blame you? ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Remember to click to enlarge, first!)

(Weekly question – tomorrow!!)
