Spring Fever

No, not that kind!

I’m talkin’ a fever . . . . . in the spring!

(Sir Beads and I have been under the weather.)

It’s crazy because we went through the entire winter with hardly a sniffle.

Then, for the last couple of weeks, we’ve both had a very pesky cold. You know complete with orange juice, tissues, cough syrup – yuck!

I hope I’m not jinxing myself to predict that we’re almost out of the woods.

Actually, I’d much rather have a case of the real “spring fever”.

And by the looks of our neighborhood – with its carpet of daffodils and the forsythias at peak bloom –

I think I may be succumbing soon. 😉

Ode to Spring Jewelry

Happy Monday, Kids! (or whatever day it is when you visit 🙂 )
Now that we’re officially ensconced in Daylight Saving Time, can Spring be far behind!?!

Whenever I think of Spring, I think of violets. They grow wild around here. When my kids were little – they loved to run in from play and surprise me with violets they had gathered. How I loved seeing the excitement in their faces and those sweet little hands offering up a tiny bouquet.

Hey, Crystal! Is that why you love purple so much?

Hmmm, you know, that hadn’t occurred to me until just this minute – but maybe so!

I currently have a real case of spring fever and it’s spilling over into my jewelry-making. I just finished a necklace – a choker, really. It drapes so nicely – I may not be able to part with it. (I hate when that happens! LOL) It does remind me of a spring bouquet!

Next, I have earrings. The purple tones and the sheen of the pearls could be compared to violets in the morning dew, don’t you think?

And finally . . . we’ve certainly waited patiently enough for the bleak winter landscape to awaken in shades of green! Before we know it, the leaves will be bursting and this next piece, a pendant, showcases lots of spring greens (or was I subconsciously thinking about the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day?).  😉

Do you have Spring fever, too?

Hugs,

See You in the Spring

Well, by the time we meet here again on Monday, it *will* be spring!

I know . . . silly joke. (I’ve got a million of ‘em!) 😉

One rainy day this past week, I was longing for a little spring color – so I made earrings.

I’m calling these Violet Petals

And these are May Flowers

Both pairs are currently available on my website.

Giveaway – Spring Fever Earrings

arkHi Kids!

It’s been raining like crazy here for several days. When I looked out the window this morning, I thought I saw a man in a boat with pairs of animals!!! 😉

Do you have “spring fever” yet? Our daffodils haven’t bloomed, but they’re making good progress. I must admit that I love the spring flowers best – all the gorgeous violets, daffodils, forsythia, iris, lilacs . . .

So in honor of the season, which arrives on Saturday, here’s this week’s giveaway!

SpringFeverEars

These pretty earrings are made with Vintage Swarovski “drops”, which have been prong-set with Rose Pink Swarovski crystals. I’ve used coordinating Swarovski bicones in three sizes as accents. For pierced ears, they measure a very showy 2-1/4” in length – including the 14K gold-filled earwires.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.

For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.

But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway!

When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count and be entered into the drawing! 😀

Today’s question is:

You can only have one kind of sandwich, but every sandwich ingredient on earth is available to you. Please describe the sandwich you will make! 😀
