Spring Fever

No, not that kind!

I’m talkin’ a fever . . . . . in the spring!

(Sir Beads and I have been under the weather.)

It’s crazy because we went through the entire winter with hardly a sniffle.

Then, for the last couple of weeks, we’ve both had a very pesky cold. You know complete with orange juice, tissues, cough syrup – yuck!

I hope I’m not jinxing myself to predict that we’re almost out of the woods.

Actually, I’d much rather have a case of the real “spring fever”.

And by the looks of our neighborhood – with its carpet of daffodils and the forsythias at peak bloom –

I think I may be succumbing soon. 😉

Spring Fever — 8 Comments

  1. Spring Fever…Usually I get that when the weather JUST begins to offer a bit of relief and makes you long for more sunny days. Well, it hasn’t hit HERE yet. But they are coming, just as soon as the chilly damp and rainy days get by. I am longing for those warm days to get outside and plant and prune. At the middle of April, my SAD is not lifting. I feel a sick day coming on just as soon as we get the first warm and sunny day. I think I’ll get a chair and grab a book and basque.

Glad you are feeling better. That bug hit a few in my family. I think my mood scared it away from me ~lol~ Smart bug!
    xx, Carol

  2. Hi, Carol! 🙂
I’m glad you scared the bug away. Sorry to hear it pestered your family, though. I’ve always heard that colds caught between the seasons are the worst, and I have to agree.

We had temps in the low 70’s here a couple of times in the last 2 weeks. Of course, then we went to overnights in the 30’s after that. Go figure.

It can’t be long now, however. Better choose that book so you’ll be ready! 😀 xoxo

  3. Oh no, you poor dears! I do hope you’re both feeling much better soon so you can go out and catch some of that real spring fever! To be honest, I never catch any spring fever…for me it’s more like fall fever, but I do like seeing all the pretty flowers and buds…and the critters hopping around the yard too! Sending a bunch of get well hugs! xoxo

  4. Sorry you two have been sick. But kind of cute visualizing both of you with tissues in one hand and a glass of OJ in the other. 😀

Our grass is turning greener thanks to all the rain we have had recently. Spring hasn’t “officially” arrived yet in my parts. Still cold. Heat still on. AND it snowed last night. Just a dusting but it covered the car windows. Will be glad when it warms up.

Hope you two are over your colds soon.

  5. I hope you are both feeling better so you can enjoy some of the beautiful flowers and green grass.
Hubs and I had the stomach flu last week. Being sick is no fun, but at least it only lasted one day. Our weather has been crazy, we’ve had a few nice days and then it has been rainy and cold. So much rain fell on Thursday that flash flooding became a problem.
Next Saturday is Hogs (Harley Owners Group) for Dogs so I’m crossing my fingers for good riding weather. This is a wonderful fundraiser for our local shelter.

  6. Oh Kelly!
Sorry you guys were in the same boat as we were last week. Glad you felt better fast. 😀

I’ll join you in crossing my fingers that you have good riding weather for Saturday. xoxo!
