Show and Tell Tuesday

Greetings Kids!

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Week edition of Show and Tell Tuesday. Today we have a special treat. Kelly has sent in photos of her home all decorated for the season. 🙂

First, here’s a view of her breakfast nook. Isn’t it festive? She loves the “turkey pumpkin” and I can see why. “Gobble till you wobble” – too cute!

Her shelves are also dressed for autumn! I have a feeling they’ll be sporting some Christmas decorations pretty soon 😉

I love this photo! Kelly has adorned her fireplace with gorgeous touches of fall color. Did you know that she enjoys gathering leaves at this time of year and then dipping them in paraffin to preserve them?

Thanks so much Kelly! You’ve put us throroughly in the mood. Bring on the stuffing and pumpkin pie! 😀

(If there should be any stockings hanging at that fireplace in the next month . . . it would be fun to see a photo. )

More pictures next Tuesday! If you haven’t already – please consider sending one of your photos, too! Hey, even if you have sent one, we’d love to see anything else you’d like to share!

Smiles,

Deck the Hall . . . with Fall!

autumnLately, I’ve been receiving some great suggestions for future blog topics and I’d like to thank all of you for your input!

Today’s topic comes from Cindi, who says:

“I love the upcoming holiday season from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas. I would enjoy ‘decorating for the holiday’ posts.”

Thanks, Cindi! You’ve really got me thinking.

How about if we start with autumn in general, and then work our way through all of the holidays as the weeks go by?

My usual “go to” spot for all things beautiful is etsy, so I took on the role of “personal shopper” and discovered some wonderful items for your perusal! They’re perfect for welcoming the season. 😀

Flower-Filled Pumpkin Pin

Time to break out that Fall blazer! And what’s the perfect touch to wear on your lapel? Why it’s a gorgeous pin created by the extraordinarily talented Beedeebabee, of course!!!

This 100% wool felt pin measures 2 1/2? across. It’s made completely by hand! Onto a solid black background, Paulette has added an adorable layered pumpkin that’s embellished with tiny flowers and leaves. Everything is embroidered and some pretty beads were added for a bit of sparkle.

If you purchase this pin from Beedeebabee, be prepared for everyone to want it! You probably shouldn’t let it out of your sight for any length of time. Just sayin’ 😉
