Show and Tell Tuesday

Greetings Kids!

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Week edition of Show and Tell Tuesday. Today we have a special treat. Kelly has sent in photos of her home all decorated for the season. 🙂

First, here’s a view of her breakfast nook. Isn’t it festive? She loves the “turkey pumpkin” and I can see why. “Gobble till you wobble” – too cute!


Her shelves are also dressed for autumn! I have a feeling they’ll be sporting some Christmas decorations pretty soon 😉


I love this photo! Kelly has adorned her fireplace with gorgeous touches of fall color. Did you know that she enjoys gathering leaves at this time of year and then dipping them in paraffin to preserve them?


Thanks so much Kelly! You’ve put us throroughly in the mood. Bring on the stuffing and pumpkin pie! 😀

(If there should be any stockings hanging at that fireplace in the next month . . . it would be fun to see a photo. )

Painting with fabric . . . Here’s a gorgeous example of how a home accessory can truly be a work of art. Wool pumpkins have been hand pieced and applied with a blanket stitch to soft 100% wool fabric. Hand embroidered with a variety of stitches that include: Moss stitch, Spider web, Filling stitch, French knots, Raised chain band, Couching and Fly stitch.
