He Said, She Said

As promised, here’s the answer to yesterday’s mystery pile of change . . .

She said: Sweetheart, that large amount of change you constantly carry around with you must be very heavy – not to mention it eventually puts holes in your pockets.

He said: It’s not heavy.

She said: Why don’t you just make it a point to spend some of it each day? You know, if something costs $3.56 – don’t just hand the cashier a $5 bill – use your change.

He said: Too much trouble.

She said: But isn’t it a nuisance when we have to roll a lot of coins?

He said: I suppose.

She said: So then, do you think you will try to use more of your change?

He said: Probably not. 😀

She said: It’s a good thing you are so darn cute! 😉

  1. The change thing in the pockets must be a guy thing. I won’t even keep much of it in my purse because it makes it so heavy. We do have a huge piggy bank we keep all the pennies in, and it was made by the Liberty glass company. I would love to find another one to hold all the silver coins.

    Today’s celebrations include:
5/5 Cinco de Mayo (tacos and pinatas for everyone)
5/5 National Hoagie Day (for those who don’t like Mexican food)
5/5 Totally Chipotle Day (to honor the uniquely Mexican heritage of the chipotle pepper)
5/5 National Cartoonists Day (Does anyone have a favorite cartoon)
    I still like Scooby Doo.

  2. Awww, how sweet!!

You should empty out his pockets once a week and put the money in a “MISTER” jar. At the end of the year, surprise him with something he has had his eye on.

We should all do that. And watch it grow.

    Carol guessed correctly. Yay!!

  3. I agree with Kelly – it must be a guy thing. I get rid of change as soon as I can.

Go Carol. Off to work….. hi ho…..

  4. Hi Guys!
I’m tellin ya, we collect coins around here. Many times I have been broke and survived for a long time on the change we collect through out the year.

Today is Celebrate Corey’s Birthday!!! 16 today. Born 1 minute after midnight. Our doctor was going back and forth between two rooms at almost midnight. He asked Laurie if she wanted to go first or the other lady. Laurie quickly answered let the other lady go first because she wanted Corey to be born on 5-5-95. (His brother was born on 6-6 97.)

Incidently, Corey and Ky were in Chicago last weekend to compete in the NAGA Grappling competition. Ky won first place and the region belt in the Expert Division for 12-13 year olds. Corey could not compete because he has ring worm virus on this hand. BUT he will be testing for his purple belt this coming week which is the highest color belt a 16 year old can hold. He is hands down sure to excel.

The weather forecast for the coming week is warmer with no night temps under 40. Yay, looks like I’ll be planting. And if you live east of me, its coming your way.

    Have a great day all.
    xx, Carol
