Yesterday, I visited Jenny’s blog and read a series of questions that she had been tagged to answer.
She invited her readers to do the same so I snagged a few of them (7 to be exact!) for this week’s Lucky Seven. 🙂
1. What bad habit are you having a hard time breaking? Without a doubt, getting to bed at a decent hour. I’ve forever been a bit of a night owl, but these days I am always trying to finish “just one more thing” before I call it a day. Then I am so tired, I have no chance of seeing the sunrise.
2. What’s the best decision you’ve ever made?
Ok, I know it sounds corny, but my best decision ever was to say, “I do” to Sir Beads. I can’t imagine that there’s anyone out there who could have been a more loving, giving, or understanding partner for me. He has truly made my life complete.
3. What’s your favorite place for daydreaming?
Hmmm, I suppose it would be in my chair in the living room. I have a lamp-table there and a little magazine rack where I keep various craft books and other fun things that I want to read. I also have a knitting/craft bag nearby and it’s always filled with a few ongoing projects. I love to grab an hour or two in the evening and curl up there to just relax, dream, and maybe plan a project.
4. When do you feel most confident?
I think feeling confident equals feeling comfortable, and feeling comfortable is a state of mind. If you believe things will go well, there’s a much better chance they will. Of course, I have lots of moments when I don’t feel the least bit confident, but I’m most confident when I’m doing something I’ve done many times before – whether it’s cooking a particular meal, or doing a favorite craft, or chatting with someone who knows me well.
5. How long could you go without talking?
(You’re probably thinking, Not very long, Crystal!) 😉
Well . . . although I’ve never been accused of being shy, I can be quietly content for hours at a time. Really! Lol
6. What makes you mad without fail?
Rudeness. There seems to be so much of it out there. We all have stress in our lives. But if we’re having a bad day, I think it’s important to make every effort not to add to the stress of others by taking it out on them!
7. Best way to wrap your guy around your little finger?
Now you don’t expect me to talk about that on a blog, do you? 😉
As always, I’d love to hear your answers to any or all of these questions in your comments!
Hugs,
1. What bad habit are you having a hard time breaking?
Procrastination! Or else having so many projects that no matter what I do, I’m putting something off, which LOOKS like procrastination even though I’m always as busy as I can physically be! But I hate being bored, so…
2. What’s the best decision you’ve ever made?
Dialing a phone number ooooone more time.
3. What’s your favorite place for daydreaming?
See that first answer? I can zone out anywhere, anytime, any situation! It’s hard to tell over the internet because– hey, why can’t I upload my consciousness into a robot body? Maneuver it like a toy, at a distance? I know there’s primitive computer interaction technology and– ah! The over alarm!
…Everyone will be relieved to know I don’t drive.
4. When do you feel most confident?
When I’ve got a migraine coming on. Pleasant, no! But prodrome brings with it the sort of belligerent certainty that causes great wars and starts new countries, and makes me think that this time I can totally write a novel! Tonight! Of course!
…It’ll work someday, goldurn it.
5. How long could you go without talking?
I’ve got laryngitis, so I guess we’re about to find out!
6. What makes you mad without fail?
People telling me what to do with my body. “You should get some sleep, Cara!” “You need to eat more vegetables!” “You should try this medication I never researched that you already tried three years ago at peril of your liver!” BACK. OFF. from my extremely personal space.
See, it’s making me mad just thinking about it!
7. Best way to wrap your guy around your little finger?
Give him bacon! Actually, that works on me too…
good questions
I would love to say I have NO bad habits. The one I am thinking about at this moment is playing games on FB. Its a time zapper. Even though it relaxes me, it distracts me from getting more important things done. Its become my “quiet” time.
I have to agree with Crissie on this one. No, I didn’t say I DO to Sir Beads, but marrying Terry has given me a happy life.
My favorite time to daydream is when I go to bed. I make a point about daydreaming about my aspirations. Its when I really focus on positive attraction. You know, the wonderful Pet Refuge Complex I will build when I win the lottery.
My confidence multiplies when I am at work. I know that I am performing at my highest level in a job I actually developed.
Stop talking?! There was a time that I would say 2 minutes. But as I have aged I have learned to listen more than talk.
O, I get angry about a lot of things. I have short patience for the store clerk that lets a customer wait while she finishes a very apparent personal conversation. On the other hand, I am quick to sooth a clerk that has been unnecessarily made to feel inadequate by the previous customer.
Honestly, Terry will do anything I ask. I never ask for the impossible either. I don’t wrap him around my finger because he is wrapped around my heart.
Have a great day!!
Bad habit – up late at night, procrastination and eating junk food.
Yay! Thanks for answering some of the questions 🙂 It’s so fun getting to know my fellow bloggers better!
Hi Sweet Girl!
I loved all your answers, especially the one about your best decision. 😉
Rudeness gets to me every time too. Especially when I go out of my way to hold the door for someone, and they walk thru without a “thank you”. Oh how that irks me!
I was always afraid to have kids, not of actually having them, but of giving birth and all that goes with it, so I guess the best decision I ever made was to have my sons…and that involved Frank, so he was a part of my best decision! 😀
As far as confidence goes, I wish I had more of that. I do find when I look my best I seem to have more of it.
xoxo
Paulette 🙂
