Here’s a young lady who means business when she does the laundry. She gathers everything!

I hope it’s a warm day for the sake of her dolls. πŸ˜‰

I love this quote. It really is the definition of happiness, don’t you think?

We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
~Frederick Keonig

Friday Favorites – We’re All Artists!

For this week’s Friday Favorites, I have a special little quotation for you!

I often think of this when I’ve made something that didn’t turn out as well as I hoped it would. The words are encouraging and remind me to try again, instead of saying: “I’m just not good at this.” πŸ™‚

Isn’t that the truth!!! As children, we are sure that our “art” is wonderful. We have that total sense of confidence. So I figure if I was an “artist” once – it’s still in there. All I have to do is keep trying!

Enjoy this last weekend of summer! Meet ya back here on Monday for a new giveaway and new questions!!! πŸ˜€

Friday Favorites – Friendship

Friendship is the theme for this week’s Friday Favorites.

We begin with a sweet illustration from a vintage children’s book and end with some wonderful quotations on the subject. πŸ˜€

Don’t these little ladies look as if they’re the best of friends? They look so relaxed and comfortable together. I’ll bet a secret or two is being shared at this tea party! πŸ˜‰

Here are just a few of the many beautiful quotes on friendship. Which one touches your heart?

“Can miles truly separate us from friends?
If we want to be with someone we love, aren’t we already there?” ~ Richard Bach

“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.” ~ Bernard Meltzer

“A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.” ~ Anonymous

“Friendship? Yes Please.” ~ Charles Dickens

“I get by with a little help from my friends.”
~ John Lennon

β€œIf all my friends were to jump off a bridge, I would not follow, I would be at the bottom to catch them when they fall.” ~ Anonymous

See you Monday with the new questions!

Friday Favorites

For week’s Friday Favorites, I have a wonderful quotation for you . . .

“We can’t all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.” — Will Rogers

Such wise words! And when you stop and think about it, it’s a reminder to cheer on the unsung “heroes” in our own lives, too!

Have a lovely weekend!

See you Monday for the new questions. πŸ™‚

Welcome to Friday Favorites. For this week, I planned to have a quotation about children, but I couldn’t decide whether you’d prefer a funny one or a more serious one, so I decided to include both. Take your pick! πŸ™‚

The picture is a vintage trade card depicting two young ladies who are quite busy with laundry for their dolls!

“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.” ~ Angela Schwindt

“Anyone who thinks the art of conversation is dead ought to tell a child to go to bed.” ~ Robert Gallagher
