For this week’s Friday Favorites, I have a vintage image and a great quotation for you!
Here’s a young lady who means business when she does the laundry. She gathers everything!
I hope it’s a warm day for the sake of her dolls. 😉
I love this quote. It really is the definition of happiness, don’t you think?
We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
~Frederick Keonig
Have a fabulous weekend, Kids! Thanks so much for your comments this week. See you Monday for a new giveaway and a new question . . .
Have a great weekend. The things that make me happy are not found at the mall. Nature, my dogs, family, friends and the stars in the sky all make me happy. I also have found the surest way to pull myself out of a funk is to go do something nice for someone else.
Hi Crystal
Still in TN but reading you every day. What a cute pix you found for the wash day girl.
Hope you have a great week end – should be a tad warmer for you. We’re to be in 60s.
Relax and enjoy.
My husband makes me happy although he makes me crazy too! My little girls smile always warms the heart.
Hi Crystal! This is such a beautiful vintage illustration. You always find the sweetest ones! … How true is that quote! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! xoxo Paulette 😉
Great quote!
I search for happiness and pretty things everyday and blog about it.
Heh, I have an old kid’s book of activities, and one of the things in it is this loooong poem about a little girl’s week with her doll- she sews it clothes, bathes it and washes the clothes, cooks it dinner, and takes it visiting with her other friends. It’s all this enormous amount of housework, but it’s clear she’s expected to love it!
I wish housework would keep being fun as an adult– but at least there’s still a certain sense of triumph when the sink gets cleared out!
