TGIF Again!

Yay!!! Am I ever happy to see this week end.

Ha – “week end” and “weekend”!

Well, either way, I’m happy for both.

Sir Beads and I are just wiped out – too much on the schedule over the last several days.

Soooo, the weekend plan is to sleep late, have some leisurely meals, catch up on reading, and maybe watch a good movie.

(I’m feeling refreshed already!) πŸ™‚

Here are a couple of Easter ornaments I made years ago.

When my kids were young, I loved to go all-out decorating for every single holiday!

Presently, I’ve scaled back a little, but I still enjoy scattering small decorations around the house to make things festive and fun! πŸ™‚

Speaking of fun . . .
I hope your weekend holds a bit of rest, a sprinkle of fun, and lots of laughter!

Hugs,

  1. I hope you enjoy your weekend and get to stop and catch your breath. Kouga dog and I are going to attend Bark for Life on Saturday morning. It is an event that raises money for cancer research. On Sunday we bowl with friends, and we are going to ride our Harleys to dinner.

    BTW Allison, I say Pee-Kahn.

I also got some GREAT news today, I have been awarded a full-scholarship to the University Missouri-St. Louis to get my Bachelor’s degree in Business. The letter came today, and I’m doing the happy dance. I worked so hard to re-invent myself after 20 yrs, in the printing field, and this will help me continue to achieve my goals.

    Todays celebrations include:
4/15 Rubber Eraser Day (celebrates the invention of erasers, and erasers were originally made of rubber)
4/15 National That Sucks Day (its tax day, the Titanic went down, and Abraham Lincoln died on this day)
4/15 National Glazed Spiral Ham Day

    Tomorrow is Husband Appreciation Day

  2. Oh Kelly!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am SOOOOOOO thrilled for you, and very proud too! πŸ˜€
I’m happy-dancing right along with ya! Congratulations!!!

I will definitely be celebrating Husband Appreciation Day and I guess that means Sir Beads will too! πŸ˜‰

  3. Kelly. OMGosh, Congratulations! Its not only exciting…inspiring…it renews faith that good things happen to those who focus on their goals.

Crissie, what the heck have you been doing that’s keeping you so busy? Are you keeping secrets?

Today I will celebrate erasers, rubber or not. At work I use the Papermate erasable pen and it blows the owners mind every time I erase what I have written with my pen. I laugh.
For sure I will celebrate Husband appreciation day, but I gotta tell you that also means the same old at MY house.
Rain in my forecast and cold so a movie sounds good to me too Crissie.
    xx, Carol

  4. Go Kelly, go Kelly, Go! What fantastic news! I’m “happy dancing too”

I’m exhausted – worked full time this week shadowing the teacher I’m replacing. OMG I have a lot of work ahead of me. Just getting up at 5:30 am each day is wearing me out. I was in bed at 8:30 one night. I’ll be teaching a subject that I haven’t taught in a long time – 7th grade math – so I need to read and do tons of equations just to make sure I understand the stuff!

  5. I hope you have a wonderful restorative weekend:)
Hydro is now cheaper on the weekend so i have to do laundry on saturday instead of in peace during the week….sigh.

  6. Congrats Kelly!! That is awesome; I know you are thrilled.

7th grade math, Clenna? You must be a saint. Middle schoolers are tough!! I HAVE a middle schooler & am always hearing tales of teacher torture. GOOD LUCK!

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend! I am working this weekend at a horse show; I have the 7am-1pm shift for the show at the in-gate. Unseasonably cool and really windy today–not ideal horse show weather. I am also helping my friend & fellow braider. He had lots to braid this week so I am helping him out before my show shift begins, I got there to help him at 4am today. Would LOVE to have a nap but the baby is fully awake. Oh well, hopefully will catch up next week! πŸ™‚

PS–I appreciate my husband for having baby duty & not complaining when Robert is ultra fussy when I am not around! He is certainly a mama’s boy! (The baby, not the husband)
