Your prom night, what do you remember about it?
On the morning of the prom, my girlfriends and I went to a beauty salon to have our hair done in the latest fashion of the day. (We were so excited!) It was an upswept style that featured lots of “Grecian curls”. However, between the height of my hair and the shoes I wore, I ended up taller than my date!
My Dad had a creative solution though. When he took our picture as we were on our way to the event, he had us pose on the front steps with me standing one step lower than my boyfriend. Dad cropped the photo in such a way that you couldn’t tell we were standing at different levels.
Do you have any famous ancestors?
I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned that I love genealogy and have spent a lot of time happily involved in searching for my roots. 🙂
To answer the question: I need to do more research to absolutely confirm it, but it appears that I may be related to Laura Ingalls Wilder through my great-great-grandmother!
How many different beverages have you had today?
Tea, milk, lemon seltzer, and water
Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
No. I would be much more likely to either build a sand castle, or make little designs in the sand using my bare feet and toes. 😉

Your prom night, what do you remember about it?
Hubs and I went together and we still have the photo from that night. I wore a lavendar dress and he was in a blue suit. He bought me a wrist corsage, and we went to Perkins Pancake house after the dance. It was a wonderful night.
Do you have any famous ancestors?
I have no idea. No-one in our family has ever tried to trace our roots on either my mother or father’s side.
How many different beverages have you had today?
Diet coke, water, and iced tea.
Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
No, I’m usually getting all the scuba gear ready to go on the boat and then dive. I’m not a big beach person, I would rather be under the water. If I do spend time on the beach I’m reading under a beach umbrella. I have very fair skin so I’m not a sun worshipper.

ANY FLAVOR. We eat jello often here. I mix fruit in, cool whip, pour it on cakes, make those little jiggle things you can eat with your fingers. We just don’t care what flavor as long as its Jello. ((We think generics don’t have as much flavor)

Oh, here we are, talking about my crappy childhood again.
I wasn’t allowed to go. Why? Who knows. (I WAS invited though)
Do you have any famous ancestors?
I don’t know. I don’t even know my grandmother or grandfathers first name, but lately I have been doing a lot of thinking about finding out. BUT, Pat Benetar’s last name is really Andrzejewski and so is mine so who knows!
How many different beverages have you had today?
Coffee, coffee and more coffee. Later I’ll have water, but until at least 1:00 its more and better java! Sometime this year I will introduce you to Java Lorac. You heard it here first!
Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
I haven’t been to the beach in years. I don’t ever remember drawing my name in the sand. Not sure I ever drew anything in the sand. I should remember that because I was raised in a beach town, went there every day I possibly could and I’m not even ashamed to tell you that I started skipping afternoon’s from school in April to be there.
If I still lived there, I would still be going every chance I get.
Jello – cherry – nothing in it!
Prom Night – had a gorgeous light blue gown, was one of the Princesses and my boyfriend loved to dance – what more could I ask for?
No famous ancestors – indians that hid from the government though!
Beverages – it’s early so I’ve only had coffee.
Beach – no name drawing – doodling and just feeling the sand.
Favorite jello flavor? I am not really a jello kind of person, I like pudding better. 🙂 Probably anything red, maybe raspberry. I remember really liking Knox Blocks as a kid though.
Prom night memories? I had a great prom: beautiful dress, high school sweetheart, nice dinner at the country club before, good band, good friends. I went to a huge high school, more than 700 in my class so it was a really big prom. Fun night.
Famous ancestor?
Not that I know of, my aunt is into geneology and no one has turned up. My husband’s great uncle is former Speaker of the House Sam Rayburn.
Beverages today? Black coffee, on my 2nd cup

What is your favorite flavor of JELL-O?
I like berry flavors, like strawberry and raspberry. I have a Strawberry Daquari flavor that I haven’t tried yet. I’m actually more of a pudding person than a Jell-O one.
Your prom night, what do you remember about it?
Best memory – my mother made my prom dress from a simple black gown. We upgraded it together. I LOVED it – I was literally sparkling but not with any overkill. I still have the dress.
Lol. My prom date and I did not leave the prom together, but he did show up at the late-night restaurant that everyone meets up at after the prom. Awkward. I sat with my friends and he sat with some other people. He was from a different school – not a boyfriend or anything, but I didn’t mind the whole awkwardness of the situation. I already knew prom night wasn’t going to be a fairy tale whirlwind romantic memory – I spent the entire night taking pictures. It was an experience and I think I went just to say that I went to the prom.

How many different beverages have you had today?
Today I drank 1% milk, diet Coke (which I don’t even like), diet Cape Cod cranberry soda, and diet Dr. Pepper. Sounds so unhealthy when I look at it. I usually drink hot chocolate, tea, and coffee.

Yes I do, plus dogs and hearts.
