Friday Funnies

TGIF! πŸ˜€

Shall we get into a festive weekend mood by kicking it off with a few funny children’s quotes?

As Billy and his Grandpa entered their vacation cabin, they kept the lights off until they were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects. Still, a few fireflies followed them in. Billy noticed them first and whispered, “It’s no use, Grandpa. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights.”

A mother and her young son returned from the grocery store and began putting away the groceries. The boy opened the box of animal crackers and spread them all over the table. “What are you doing?” his mother asked. “The box says you can’t eat them if the seal is broken,” the boy explained. “I’m looking for the seal.”

And finally, one from my own daughter… She was about age 5 or 6 yrs. old when I showed her an old photo album with pictures from my early childhood. She intently perused several pages of black and white photos and then stopped to ask: “So tell me Mom, just when exactly did the whole world become filled with colors?”

Have a super-special weekend, Kids!

Hugs,

  1. The picture is adorable and the dark haired little girl looks alot like my cousin did when she was a child. The photo brought back some great memories.
    Have a great weekend, everyone.
Kouga dog and I will be attending the Mardi Paw parade on Sunday, and the rest of the weekend is unplanned as of this moment. I know we will be going to dinner on Saturday night, but not sure where yet.
I did get some good news, I won a case of Raspberry Zinger tea from a contest. I’m thrilled as I love that tea.

  2. Hi Kelly,
Have fun with Kouga! I know he’ll have you smiling!
And how nice you won the tea. I have never tried that flavor but if you love it – I’m putting it on my shopping list. πŸ™‚

  3. Thanks for the grins!!
The flu bug hit our house and Terry can’t shake it so I think it will be a low key weekend. The boys are competing at THE ARNOLDS in Ohio this weekend so we will be ALL ALONE. They have a ball there. A weekend of marial arts and body building and maybe more gold medals for their walls. And we will be home ALL ALONE!! Serenity Now.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

  4. Have a good week end – I just returned from an interview. I start work in April till the end of June. Yea – now I can get some home repairs done this summer.
Kelly – I have never had that tea either. I usually drink Arizona Sweet Tea.

  5. Oh gosh, Carol!
I’m crossing my fingers that Terry feels better very quickly!!! I’m sure that having some alone-time with his favorite nurse is going to help! πŸ™‚

  6. That’s great, Clenna! πŸ™‚
I hear you on being happy to get some home repairs accomplished!
I’d like to replace some windows here when it warms up. (I’m afraid to see the price tag, though!)

  7. Congratulations Clenna, I’m so glad you are able to get some home repairs completed.
Carol, I hope your boys have a great time and you will have to keep us updated on their accomplishments. I hope Terry feels better soon, and that you don’t get it.
I’m not sure Raspberry Zinger would be a good iced tea, but during these cold, dreary winter months, I love a cup of hot tea in the afternoon and this flavor hits the spot for me.

  8. Your daughter’s quote was by far the best!!! How adorable! xoxo Paulette πŸ˜€
