This and That

Welcome, welcome! How was the weekend?

Busy? Relaxing? Too short? (Oh yeah, on that last one!)

We’re living in a crazy world, Kids. Lately, I’m concerned I may be missing some of your comments. It’s not enough that we are plagued with telemarketers, junk mail, and email spam (even though we jump through hoops to be taken off lists). The newest menace is “comment spam”, and it’s growing by leaps and bounds. This blog has an automatic filter that catches spam comments – but it’s not perfect. Sometimes it also “catches” wonderful comments!!! ๐Ÿ™

When my blog was new, it was easy for me to sift through the small number of spams to look for any legitimate comments. But these days, the spam program can gather 200+ “spams” in a matter of hours! It’s no longer practical for me to skim through all of them, so I have to just empty the whole folder. I HATE to think that YOUR comment might be deleted along with all the spam.

What to do? Well, let me know if you don’t see your comment show up on a particular post. I usually try to approve comments several times a day, so if the day is over, and your comment is missing, please drop me a note by clicking here.

OK, on to this week’s question:

When you buy shampoo, lotions, toothpaste, lipstick, etc., must you have your favorite brand? Do you experiment with different brands? Or do you just buy the one that’s on sale?

  1. Well..I can’t say that I NEVER try something new. For the most part I buy what I always do unless I see something new that REALLY looks “Try Me Worthy”. Nope, don’t care who is pushing it. Sorry Drew Barrymore, Queen Latifah…see I can’t even remember who else is pushing that stuff.

It MUST be better cause it costs more….not!
I Will Never Ever give up my Mitchum!!!

And another note. A lot of the reason I stick to the same brand is that I have researched what the company’s policy is on animal experiments..so I am NOT messing with that issue.

    Have a GREATTTTTT! Day

  2. Good Morning Crystal
Week – end: wedding in FL – it was beautiful, lovely bride and great food. Lots of fun. Now in TN..

Shampoo- whatever I can get on sale – have yet to find the perfect one!

  3. I like to try new things so I free samples when I can. My favorites are those that are organic or green. I try to stay with them.

This week we celebrate National Waffle day tomorrow and we have two important holidays on the 26th National Dog Day and Women’s Equality Day. Enjoy everyone.

  4. Each person in our family has their favorite products, but we do experiment too! I do try to patronize companies that do not test on animals and
tend to have more pure/organic ingredients…
    Thanks, Cindi

  5. Hi Ladies! ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ll chime in here to say that I tend to keep buying a brand I like.

Lately though, I notice that the stores keep changing which brands they carry, and that makes it hard for a gal like me who wants her usual!

  6. I usually stick with what I like, except that once I find something I like the stupid company discontinues it ughhh! I LOVE trying new products but right now I can’t afford to risk wasting money if I dont like the product, I try to get samples and coupons online to try new things. Expectually make-up I like to try different kinds. I always stick with Pantene for Shampoo/Conditioner I stock up when its on sale and I always find a ton of good coupons for it, and it makes my hair smell good haha.

  7. Hi Sweetie! Sorry about those darn spam issues. I try to comment on every post, even though I’m usually late!…but don’t fret if I get caught in the spam, I’ll be back again and again! xo

I’ve been using the same stuff for ages. I also try to buy brands that don’t test on animals.

    xoxo’s Paulette

  8. I use the same shampoo and conditioner every time, but with most other stuff it’s what’s on sale – especially toothpaste. Actually, my shampoo and conditioner are usually on sale, which is probably why i started buying them in the first place. Oh and I always buy the same brand of body wash – it smells like cookies to me which is great in the morning ๐Ÿ˜‰
