Double Dare

You may remember that last week I entered a color challenge over at The Play Date Cafe.

playdate4I enjoyed it so much that I decided to participate again this week! The inspiration colors this time were blue/green, chocolate brown, tan, and cream.

Here’s my entry for challenge #4

SantaFeNecklace3

I chose a variety of beads and components including: picture jasper semi-precious stone beads, amazonite semi-precious stone beads, Czech fire polish metallic beads, ceramic beads, and a pretty artisan-crafted polymer clay pendant.

Creating is so often a matter of the right inspiration. Sometimes the mood just isn’t there. Then there are times when we feel inspired, but we let other things take precedence. That’s where a “challenge” comes into play! It’s a fun little reminder to stop and nourish that creative side we all have!

You may have heard me say it before but . . .

“Making something is like giving your spirit a vitamin!” 😀

  1. This is just so beautiful! And peaceful, if that’s not a silly thing to say about a necklace!! I’d wear this, it’s gorgeous. And I love, love, love that you join in the colour challenge with beads. It’s all about colour, so any media can be entered. And I just love that you do 🙂

  2. Very pretty necklace. I have been a big fan of picture jasper since I bought a pendant that was made by a Native American artist back in the mid 70’s.(not to date myself or anything). My new favorite stone is chalcedony. The pale blue and green stones are so beautiful whether smooth or faceted.

  3. Such a beautiful necklace! Love your creativity! I love your saying, too–I always say that you need to create SOMETHING every day to keep happy! Glad you could play with us again this week!
