Cupcakes – Never Say Never!

I know I said I was finished knitting cupcakes . . .

I am . . . This one is crocheted. 😉

What can I say, I saw this pattern and wanted to see if crocheting a cupcake would be easier/cuter than knitting one.

This was definitely quicker to make and I think it looks more like a cupcake than the one I knitted (found here).

This one is much smaller – more of a “mini” cupcake.

Would I make another crocheted cupcake? I think I would!

(Oh, oh! She’s going to make fake food, after all!)

I’m thinking one of these would be an adorable gift. It could be presented in a little (handmade) bakery box with a gift card that reads: “Thanks for being so sweet!!”

  1. These would be great for a kid’s toy. I had a toy kitchen when I was small and if I had had these, it would have been easy for my mom to just throw them in the washer to get them clean!

  2. I just adore any kind of cupcake, but these calorie free ones are just perfect! I want to make some too! Yours came out adorable! Thanks for the link to the pattern. Smiles, Paulette :o)

  3. Too cute!! I don’t know how to knit, but I do know how to crochet. It’s been at least 5 years though, so don’t know how good I would be at following a pattern anymore. I’m thinking you could use baby yarn and make it even MORE mini!!
