Winter Zest

snow birds (Small)I always get a big burst of creative energy in January…

You, too?

I’m guessing it has something to do with Christmas. Think about it. It does make sense!
After the whirl of holiday preparations in November and December, it’s tough to suddenly turn off the adrenaline on January 2nd
. . . at least for me.

Many of you know I’m a fan of all kinds of crafts, but beading and crocheting are my favorites.

Shall I show you a little of what I’ve been up to in January? I’ll focus on the beading today and add the crocheting next time.

A few beads, a few findings, a needle and thread, and a good TV show?

Now we’re talking! Pure bliss.

Looking at them inspires me.
More ideas. More plans. (More hours in a day, please!) 😉

  1. Nope! No rush of energy. Lazy hand stitiching in my recliner while it snows and the dogs go in and out of the house. Out to play until they are too cold, in to warm up, then back out. Makes ya kinda crazy. Well, maybe all that up and down is what’s making me lazy, ya think?

    Beautiful beading with lovely beads.
    xx, Carol

  2. Oh how pretty! I’ve been doing more beading lately…getting ready to stock my shop. My burst of energy comes when Winter is over and Spring arrives. 😉

Thinking of you and wishing you a beautiful day my good friend.
    (thanks for the sweet email)

  3. No big burst of energy right now. I will get that when school is finished in May. With all the homework, working for the bookstore and the cold and snow I’m feeling the need for spring. It is snowing again right now and school was cancelled. The birds are singing at the feeder, and that sound is beautiful.
I do like working with the kids though, they make me laugh. They also help me count my blessing. A simple hug or smile brightens up my day.

I love the projects that you have been working on. The colors you choose look amazing together. I did get a hand knitted scarf from one of the mothers at school. There is so much love that goes into hand created projects. I love seeing all the creativity and caring that is loving put into each item.

  4. Oh Crystal, your earrings are all so beautiful! You do such beautiful work. I’m such a fan of everything you create!!! ….About having January energy. I’m usually so pooped out by the end of December, it takes a while to get my energy back! xoxo Paulette
