Ok, so temperatures are hovering near the zero degree mark not only here in New England, but in many parts of the country. And there’s record snowfall, too . . .
If you look very closely though, you can still spot a flower.
Really.
I’m not kidding!
See?
Here’s a project anyone can create. C’mon now, no arguing! If you can cut out a circle and sew on a button – you can make this pretty blossom! π
I chose a soft blue plaid fleece for mine – so adorable! I can imagine this pinned to a scarf, or a hat, or if made in a smaller size – attached to a napkin ring!
I’ll attach a link to the youtube tutorial (here). Don’t be frightened by the fact that the video mentions using a sizzix machine to cut out your circles. Scissors can cut out circles, too.
You know, just the way we CAN write a letter on paper . . . we don’t HAVE to email it. π
If anyone’s looking for me – I’ll be working on a bright pink one next!
Hugs,
I see flowers in my spring wardrobe. A couple of weeks ago I was at Kohl’s and spied a military jacket sporting a fabric shabby flower. The contrast was so unexpected and eye catching and covetable (I made that word up. My definition of I wanna make one!)
Think of your flower made of fabric with the edges slightly frayed!! Think I’ll try my version of yours too!
Stay warm. It’s minus 6 with a windchill of -20!!
Hugs from frigid northern Indiana., wanna be in AZ, but stuck in Indiana me.
This is sooo pretty Crystal! Each petal perfectly placed, and I love that cute button in the center! Can’t wait to see the pink one! … It’s almost a novelty to get a hand written note in the mail these days. Emails are great, sent and received in a flash, but there’s something extra special about a card or a little note arriving in the mail…a goodie we can actually hold, written in someone’s own handwriting! Have a happy day, Sweetie! xoxo Paulette π
Very cute flowers. Now Crystal don’t get too crazy here BUT I’m going to try these and make flowers for my grand daughter!
I’ll let you know and maybe even send a pix along. (Even if I mess up)
Very cute lol.Could do with some flowers right now.Managed to fall on the stairs again the other day so fibro is kicking my butt this week.
Oh Michelle!!!
Take good care of yourself! Sending lots of good wishes that you feel better SOON! xo
Yay, Clenna!!!! I’m so proud of ya and you haven’t even started yet! π
Seriously! This is lovely news! xo
Hi Carol! π
I can “see” your version and it will be gorgeous!!! and of course, “covetable”!!! π xo
Hey Paulette π
You wrote the book on flowers, Missy, so I’m glad you like it! π xo
Um, I think I will be leaving the crafts up to the professionals. I’m baking for my dog fundraiser, and I’m also in charge of the games.
It has been so cold and the snow has a layer of ice on it so I’m feeding the critters everyday. I don’t know who told, but there are now birds everywhere and a couple of deer have turned into a herd. Spring better get here soon so the critters can find food.
Oh sounds like fun, Kelly! What types of games are you planning for this time? π
