Isn’t it true?
We are all children at Christmas . . .
As the day gets closer, and we experience the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas, we are magically transported to a time when the wonder of it all took our breath away.
I found this vintage card and it reminded me of a little girl (me!) dreaming over the pages of the Sears Catalog Christmas Wish Book. I’ve included a quote from the author whose books I loved while growing up.
“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”
May the child-like wonder of Christmas overtake you!
Everyone must be busy getting everything ready. Merry Christmas everyone. I loved the vintage card, and The Little House books were some of my favorites growing up. I’m doing my baking tomorrow and looking forward to it.
And very happy holidays to you– holidays, not just Christmas, because it ain’t over ’til the Midnight bell on New Year’s as far as I’m concerned!:)
Mine’s even better today, since your lovely ornament came in the mail- but I’m sorry to tell you, it’s not getting to retire to the ornament box after the holidays, it’s far too pretty! I’m planning to show it off as a pendant year-round! Thank you!
What a beautiful card.
I know I’ll never grow up. I don’t want too! … and I want that doll! xoxo Paulette 😉
