Actually, it’s the drone of the air conditioner that’s getting to me at the moment. (I do know I am lucky to have an a/c!)
Anyway, we’re in the middle of a 4-day span of temperatures in the 90’s here, and I think I’ll make up a “new” old-saying. 😉

I hear you about the heatwave. It’s getting up to 34 celcius here today AND we’re supposed to be getting a thunderstorm. I am looking forward to autumn and the leaves changing colour though. My favourite thing to do as a kid (and I still do it with my kids) was to walk in a pile of leaves and kick them up. I love the sound of the rustling leaves underneath and the laughs that are soon to ensue when leaves are being kicked up. Only a few more weeks and I’ll have my autumn /daydreams about it hehe
It’s almost September and it’s in the 90’s!! What strange weather we are experiencing.
I’m sick of the AC noise too. I want to open my windows and doors and feel the cooler weather.
But I’m not going to wish my life away, I know that will be here soon enough.

have a big bowl of ice cream, sweetie pie…..the sound of your spoon clinking on the side of the bowl will drown out the noise of the a/c!!! xoxox, 🙂
I had never heard of the goops before. I loved the poem.
The heat left for a few days but it is back now. With hubs working 12 hr days right now in the heat, he comes home and sometimes eats Dairy Queen for dinner. He just doesn’t want anything hot or heavy. He maybe a goop now, but the cooler weather will turn him back into his meat eating manself soon.

I’m getting sick of the ac noise too, Crystal, but when it’s a choice between hot or noisy…noisy always wins! (Thank you sweet Willis!)
