Hot Fun in the Summertime

So, I’ve been thinking about how to handle the blog for summer . . .

Many of you will be spending more time in your gardens, or on vacation, or just outside – enjoying the nice weather and the additional hours of daylight. πŸ™‚

We do have fun meeting here every day though, so my challenge is to come up with a plan that will prevent any of us (me included!) from going into withdrawal. πŸ˜‰

I figure that 2 posts per week during July and August might work? How does a summer schedule of Mondays and Thursdays sound?

Or another option would be for me to continue having a post 5 days a week, but to do what the TV shows do for summer – sprinkle in “re-runs” of some of my favorite posts (There are 400+ to choose from, yikes!).

If I chose the second option, I would post new topics every Monday and Thursday, but on Tues., Wed., and Fri., I’d have a link to a previous post – which might be new to many of you!

Well Kids, whaddaya think?

I would welcome your thoughts on this. πŸ™‚

Lots of Hugs,

  1. Well, I say, go forth and enjoy your summer. I know we will all read whatever you post. I say, take a little break and post twice a week. You deserve to enjoy the summer. Then you can chain yourself to the puter again in September, like the rest of us!

    Have a GRRRREAAAAT Day!!
    xx, Carol

  2. You definitely have earned a break. Posting 5 articles a week is a lot of planning. Lots of thinking. Give your brain a vacation. The rest of us will revisit your older posts and enjoy them a second time around.

  3. I say take a break! Only post on Mondays and Thursdays! Taking it easy is what summer is all about after all!

  4. I’ve got another idea – how about a new post on Mondays and a repeat on Thursdays?
That way you can really enjoy the summer.

  5. Summer is very slow this year — I’ve been blogging on various blogs for 5 years now — this is the slowest I’ve seen. I like your 2-a-week post idea, and I think you could maintain your readership by always posting the same 2 days (so we know when to drop by)…

  6. I shouldn’t offer my two cents here, because when it comes to a blogging schedule, I’m about just the worst!…but, I agree with Carol, even though I love all your new posts, you deserve to take a break. We will love your reruns 3 days a week…just like I can watch a favorite show over and over again, or read a good book again and again, I’ll love reading your posts again too, that is if they’re ones I’ve already seen….gosh 400 posts…that’s a lot! xoxo Paulette πŸ™‚
