There are days when you just need to break away from the old routine. Am I right? π
Yesterday, when I should have been making dinner, I decided to play hooky for an hour.
Well, not the usual kind of hooky . . .
I was actually using a hook!
The yarn on the bottom left might look dark blue on your screen – but it’s a beautiful shade of teal, in person.
Anyway, I had finished 4 squares before Sir Beads raised an eyebrow, which means he’s wondering if dinner is scheduled for the near future – ahem! π
“What will this be eventually?”, you ask.
I really don’t know yet, but I’m thinking throw pillow, maybe.
So Kids . . . play hooky soon – by doing whatever will give you a few restful moments.
Dinner can always be a little late! π
Hugs,
wah… nice fancy colours
I haven’t learnt to crochet since there’s no one to teach and i think learning by looking at drawn steps is really hard!
We are going to be playing hooky from school and work the next few days to go to a family reunion in Charlotte, NC. Going to ride the Harley and attend the Harley rally while we are there. Scott will no longer be a temporary employee at his new job, they are hiring him full-time so he is taking a few days off while he can. I will check in if I get time, if not have a great week everyone.
At my house, I try to fit a little this or that in while I am MAKING dinner. Always a BIG mistake. I get so involved, then the scent hits my nostrals and I realize that dinner got a little farther along than I wanted it too!!
xx, Carol
I play hooky too often as it is. I fall into the internet and get swept away – sort of like Alice in Wonderland. The cool thing is I can do it for an hour or all day! It is addictive.
yep changing up the routine keeps you young π
I like the colours you have chosen.
Enjoy playing hooky.
I do it quite often.
haha! I often find myself working on a project when there are chores to be done… oops! I love your colors – you may have inspired me to go play a little hooky myself π
Wow those are really pretty, dont forget to show us a picture when the end product is done! (I am so jealous, I always wished I knew how to knit or crochet!)
Hi Crystal!
I’d much rather be doing this than making dinner any old time! Sir Beads is very lucky you were able to pull youself away from this fun to fix dinner! I love it, and I think it will make a beautiful throw pillow…such pretty colors!!!
