Dear Sir or Madam

I hesitate to say this, because I can get myself in a pickle faster than you can snap your fingers! 😉

Well, assuming you CAN snap your fingers! That’s a “skill” I didn’t acquire until I was a young adult.

Ummm, where was I?

Oh yes! I was going to say that from now on I would like to answer your comments (if I have an answer) right in the space where your comment shows on this blog.

This doesn’t mean that I will never send an email. It’s just that when I’m reading your comments, it is much faster for me to start typing right then and there, instead of going to a new screen to compose an email.

I wanted to mention this because I worry that you might otherwise never realize that I’ve responded. So maybe when you visit, you could take a peek at your previous comment to see if there was a reply?

But, here’s where the “pickle” comes in . . .

Sometimes, I run out of time, and I would HATE for anyone to be offended that I answered one person and not another! Spamgirl said I am very diplomatic, which made me giggle, but she pretty much hit the nail on the head. I do really care about the feelings of others.

Would you promise to understand that some days writing a post for the following day is the priority? 😀

Hugs,

P.S. I don’t know if it’s because I had a break from writing last week, or because I’m answering multiple questions this week on the Monday post, but I fear I am getting too wordy lately! I’ll try to rein myself back in, soon. 😉

  1. Nice Suggestion, Crissie
I have been going back to older posts lately, mostly because I want to see what else others posted after my last visit.

Blogs can be pretty time consuming. Not only posting, but visiting.

Relax, and have a great day. It will be Sunny!!
    xx, Carol

  2. Surely you don’t think *I* am going to hammer you on being too wordy?

I wonder if there’s a way to let people subscribe to your blog comments on this setup? Then if you answered them, they’d know!

  3. Yay Cara! Great idea!

I just made a new “comments subscribe” button, and placed it in the side bar.

It will work very well when I make a *separate* comment – as I am doing right here.

(It wouldn’t work if I comment within your comment – as I have done for the Monday post. That post had everyone’s “Ask Crystal” questions and I decided to answer right within the comment to make it easier for the reader to find question and answer in the same box.

Yikes, after 2 years of blogging… I’m continually fine-tuning! Talk about a work in progress! LOL

    Thanks, Cara! xo

  4. I often go back and read comments so I have no problem with that either. I loved some of the suggestions for date night even though I wasn’t the one who asked the question.

  5. Thanks so much, Kelly!

The date night post was one of those I was afraid was too wordy – so it’s a relief to hear that it was ok!!! 🙂

  6. Hey Crystal,
I go back and read your comments to my comments, I had to see what you would say to the toast! lol!

  7. I understand! You can only spend so much time on the puter….I’llhave to check if you replied to my serious question….wish there was an easier way of going back and finding our comments….we forget….well, I forget…hope you understand tehe.

  8. Sweet Crystal…You could never be too wordy for me! and I think you’re one of the sweetest people in blogland too! xoxo
