Friday Favorites

As you probably know, I love vintage images. πŸ™‚

Just look at these little ladies! I’m guessing they continued to meet as the years went on, but eventually it was for tea instead of milk!

We had fun this week, didn’t we! I’m looking forward to Monday for a new giveaway, a new question, and another week of chatting. Hope to see you then!

Oh, and please do something nice for yourself this weekend, ok? πŸ™‚

Hugs,

  1. I am waiting, as each day goes by not so patiently, for my new glasses to arrive. This time I bought 2 pair and ordered one pair to have the process added so they automatically darken in the sunlight. Hopefully I will receive them this weekend. And that folks, is the nice thing I have done for me.

O, yeah, I am going to continue with my March BJP. I made a shrinky dink to add to it. Remember Shrinky Dinks, Crissie? I had forgotten how cool they can be. Now I am trying to figure out what else I can do with the sheet. Got any cool ideas?

    Have a great weekend,
    xx, Carol

  2. Oh yes – Shrinky Dinks! They were fun! πŸ™‚
Hmmm….. how about making something to use as a decoration for your purse – like a charm to hang from a zipper pull.

It must be in the air – thinking about things from the past….. This week, I was trying to remember old jump rope songs!

  3. awww they are SO adorable!!! It reminds me of when I had a princess tea party for my daughter, just for fun. The girls had chocolate milk while us mama’s had tea. I remember being little and I had my plastic tea cup set and having parties with my stuffies, my brother would even join in so he could have the goodies. Man, life was so simple back them hehe

  4. My lactose intolerant belly is churning πŸ˜‰

I miss shrinky dinks… spending the afternoon doing nothing but painting in the lines – or, my fav, the ones with the little beads you had to pour in that ABSOLUTELY.NEVER.WENT.WHERE.YOU.WANTED.THEM.TO.GO! *cough*

I had those sunglasses glasses last year… God I hated them. My wedding photos were ruined by them πŸ™ On top of that, they never got dark enough for me – then again, I have very very light grey eyes and I’ve been told that makes me more sensitive to the sun. Darn my fair good looks!

I remember some old jump rope songs, but their far too profane to post here LOL naughty kids we were!

This weekend my daughter starts sewing lessons – yes, I’m prepping her to have her own online craft store at an early age! She has to support us *somehow*! πŸ˜‰

    Have a great weekend!

  5. “High Low Medium Wavy Walkie Talkie Slowly Peppers”
One of my all time favorite jump rope songs.
Not to mention “My Mother and Your Mother were hanging out the clothes….

  6. Oh yes, Nancy πŸ™‚
And the next line was: “My mother gave your mother a punch in the nose!”

Too funny. Do you remember if we were we throwing a ball or jumping rope while singing…

“A” my name is Alice, my husband’s name is Al, we come from Alabama, and we sell apples…..

  7. Crystal, you have such a way of choosing the sweetest vintage illustrations! This is precious! I hope you’re having a great weekend! Sorry I was so behind with my visits this week. Your blog is always so delightful!

    Always Hugs,
    Paulette
