Passion for Purple

I’m a purple person. I’m always immediately attracted to anything purple. Whether it’s flowers, clothes, jewelry, or paper – if it’s purple, I usually love it!

Because I design jewelry, I have to keep reminding myself that there are other colors and that many people love other colors!!!

So yesterday, when I decided to make a pendant necklace, what color do you think I made?

You guessed it — purple. I just couldn’t help it. The beautifully muted shade of matte metallic purple on the faceted beads mesmerized me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh well, back to the drawing board. I’ll try again tomorrow for a different color . . .

Maybe I’ll just leave all of the purple beads in the drawer so I won’t be tempted! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Giveaway: Vintage Lucite Necklace Set

snowman-border

I’m so glad that I’ve been offering these giveaways! It’s a wonderful way to “meet” you, hear your opinions, and learn what topics interest you most. If you’ve enjoyed another post on the blog, besides the weekly giveaway, please leave a comment on it, too!

This week’s giveaway is a Necklace Set!

Vintage moonglow lucite beads are the focal points here. The colors are mouth-watering shades of light violet and soft aqua! Please note that the aqua color is actually a little more blue than it appears in my photo.

This pretty set has a vintage look and a delicate weight. Itโ€™s perfect for anytime of the year, but especially nice in warm weather, when heavy fussy jewelry feels just too hot to wear!

The beads are such a sweet size โ€“ 9mm, or about the size of a pea! They are baroque-style, which means they are not perfectly round, but have tiny little dimples or indentations here and there โ€“ so cute! I have accented the Vintage Lucite Beads with Swarovski Crystals in coordinating shades of violet and aqua.

Measurements:
The Earrings measure 1-1/4″ in length, including the sterling silver earwires.
The Necklace measures 19″ in length, and has a textured toggle clasp.

Perfect for a gift . . . or maybe youโ€™ll keep it for yourself? ๐Ÿ˜‰
