Imagine turning on your computer in the morning and finding a picture of your kid holding a tarantula!
That’s exactly what happened to me – look!
Well, ok, she’s a “grown up” – but she’s still my kid!
Can you believe the size of that spider? And how about those furry legs?
As it turns out, our daughter met “Sophie” while writing an article about a zoo in Switzerland, where visitors can get “up close and personal” with many of the animals.
It sounds like a nice program . . . if you’re brave.
I think she must have inherited the spider-holding gene from her father! 😉

You surprised me!
I know how much you love critters of all kinds – so I figured you’d be telling me that I’m silly to be nervous about an over-grown spider!
I feel a little bad right now…I just vacumned up a spider in my basement!
COOL! I actually like critters, but I do have to say that’s the biggest tarantula I’ve ever seen. We got to hold one when I was in elementary school and all I remember is that it felt kind of cold. Yeah, icky sounding, right?
OH MY GOODNESS! That is one of the most interesting pics I’ve ever seen. My most adventurous picture was with a 13ft. boa constrictor named Little Miss (go figure!).
