They feature gorgeous, gorgeous, Czech glass beads, which were made from vintage button molds! The beads are a fabulous shade of blue (somewhere between cornflower blue and royal blue) and they have a pastel aurora borealis flash, and a textured design of soft swirls!

I‘ve accented the “button” beads with Swarovski crystals in both sapphire and clear aurora borealis! All of the metal findings are made of sterling silver!

Measurements: Approximately 2″ long – including the sterling earwires.

Giveaway – “Date Night” Earrings — 48 Comments

  1. WHen I want to cheer myself up I usually take out my scrapbooking and rubber stamping supplies and create something. Just the act of designing something, and playing with the papers, stamps and ink, always clears my mind. When I am papercrafting, all my troubles recede into the distance and I am totally engrossed in what I am doing. The feeling of making something from scraps of paper and coming up with a completed project makes me feel more in control!

  2. A book that I would recommend would be The Kite Runner. This book was one that was given to me by my daughter after she read it in a college course and I was simply bowled over by the story. I didn’t expect to be as deeply moved as I was, nor was I overly excited to read a book which was set in the Middle Eastern culture. However, once I started it, I couldn’t stop…and it made a tremendous impact on me emotionally.

  3. Am I supposed to tell which posts I made comments on? I got kind of carried away and commented on a ton of them. Everything you blogged about was something I could completely relate to and I just had to say something!

Crystal says: Hi Karen, It is not necessary to tell me which posts you’ve made comments on. The program for this blog shows me ALL of the comments so I don’t miss any! Thanks so much for asking and also for ALL of your comments! πŸ™‚

  4. Well, when I feel grouchy, 99% of the time its because I am tired, or have not had enough “ME” time. That usually means its in the evening. I send the boys out to their room, grab a cup of coffee, and relax in the recliner. Hopefully Terry is still awake and we can chat.

I can usually pull myself out of a bad mood. Its all in your mind, you know. You just have to change your mind set. But when its REALLY bad, my BFF Deb grounds me.

  5. Well best book just depends on what kind of reading they like. If its scary stuff, that would be the Shining, or any Dean Koontz. I like Jeffrey Archer and Ann Rule. Its so much easier to name authors. Having a brain freeze now, but will definitely come back to see what others post.

  6. Forgot to say thank you for hosting the giveaways, and thanks for picking me this week. Also, these earrings are absolutely georgeous!

  7. When I’m grouchy, I usually read a book. I love reading. I’m a dork for reading. I can spend a whole day in Borders.

    Or reading blogs! Hahaha

  8. I would recommend Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card. It’s a well-thought out science fiction/military science novel. I like how it explores the idea of what childhood is and what levels children can perform to. It’s surprisingly introspective.

  9. Ok -this may sound weird, but when I feel down, I love to go on Youtube and watch my favorite comedians in action. Even if I’ve seen their routines time and time again, they still make me laugh.

  10. I would recommend any of the books in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. There’s mystery, romance and lots of laughs, too.

  19. #2: Well, since I’m going to college this year, I would recommend my peers to read Harlan’s Cohen The Naked Roommate. It’s a really helpful book and I love his style of writing.

  20. Hi! Pretty earrings! To cheer myself up I try to get outside and do yard work, something about seeing something accomplished makes me feel better and also the physical activity always helps when feeling down.

  21. I go to a nearby park and take a long, slow walk! If it is raining, then I get a cup of tea and read a book! Sometimes, I visit Starbucks and get my favorite drink, a caramel macchiato! Many thanks, Cindi

  23. Oh…a good book?? I love to read–and I read TONS of books….depends on what KIND of books someone likes to read??? Right now I am reading a historical fiction book called Molokai which is really good. But, my all time fave, is To Kill A Mockingbird. (I also like The Poisonwood Bible) Geez, see…I just read WAY too much!!

  27. 1: When I am feeling down, I like to go online and find a new book–but a very specific one. I look for a book by a third world author so that I can expand my horizons. This also often leads to finding a charity to give to, which also helps my mood.

  28. 2: Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. It changed my life–beautiful not just for its own sake.
