Wait . . . That’s not how the old saying goes . . . is it?
Well, I guess I’m adapting it a little. π
But seriously, kids, is there much in life that’s more wonderful than being called to the table to enjoy a good meal – which you did not have to prepare?
Sir Beads (a.k.a. dear husband) surprised me by cooking dinner on Saturday. The menu? Pasta and Meatballs – but not just ordinary meatballs! Oh my, these were tender, moist, melt-in-your-mouth meatballs. Oh la la!!! Magnifico!!!
Although I have no Italian heritage, somehow my stomach is 100% Italian, so this dinner was right up my alley. π
I had to capture his culinary masterpiece with the camera. (I know you can imagine the delicious aroma in the kitchen!
That’s steam misting above those tasty morsels.
AND there were leftovers (more than are shown here, enough for 2 more meals).
Enough salivating, Crystal. How about the recipe?!?
I’ll do better than that that – I’ll include the “video link” to the recipe from Chef Fabio Viviani. If you are unfamiliar with him – prepare to be charmed and thoroughly entertained!

(Special thanks to my sister Nancy for originally sending me the link.) π
‘Til next time,
Hugs,
Food, food and more food. I am sick of thinking about food! I think this is the last day the kids will be at the house. I think the beds are moving today. Do you know how much time I will save because I will barely have to cook anymore!! Yesterday I celebrated by making 2 chocolate cream pies and 3 pans of brownies. The brownies..Corey declared..were amazing. Perhaps that’s why they were almost gone when I got up this morning. So, won’t have to worry about them visiting me. I’ll just text that foods on!!
Your Meatballs look delish!! I didn’t dare go watch Fabio…I’m at work!
xx, Carol
So good! Here is a link to the printable ingredient list so you can take it to the market.

I don’t have any Italian heritage either but the food is my favorite. Hubs has been cooking dinner too because there is so much homework this semester. I did get an A on my geology test, now if I can just get one tomorrow on Psychology test I will be thrilled. I think it has got to be one of the hardest classes I have taken.
My new job is a blast and I love it. I work at the college bookstore and the everyone is wonderful. Carol, I hope you enjoy your break from cooking and that you get some peace and quiet too.
Hi Carol
Don’t say “chocolate cream pies” too loudly or you’ll have Sir Beads on your doorstep! That’s one of his favorites.
With the beds leaving – it’s going to begin to look much more spacious there! Have fun spreading out! π
Thanks, Nancy! π
Yay Kelly!!!
Congrats on your A in geology!!!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the psychology test, but I know you’ll do very well – you’re a star student.
Your teachers must be so delighted to have you in their classes. π
Don’t you just love it when the hubby cooks…especially a mouthwatering meal like that! I love italian food too, but too much red sauce does not like me. lol!
Thank you for the video and thanks to Nancy for the printout recipe. π
Now…did someone say chocolate cream pie? LOL! π
