I’m back after a whirlwind of a weekend!
I hope all the Dads in your world had a very special Father’s Day.
Here at Bead Happily Ever After, we celebrated the event all weekend long.
On Saturday, we accompanied my 84 year-old Dad to a baseball game with his local team, and then topped that off with a delicious dinner.
The next day, Sir Beads (and I) spent quality time with our daughters. There was chatter, laughter, and more good food!
The weekend was over in a flash, though, and by Sunday night, we were pretty exhausted – but very happy, too!
We reminded ourselves how lucky we are to have had the chance to enjoy two days of happy moments with people we love. 😀 When you stop and think about it, nothing is more wonderful than that.
On to the Giveaway . . .
This week, I have a sweet pendant that will glisten in the summer sunshine!
My design features Vintage Swarovski crystals in a lovely, soft, shade of yellow, called “jonquil”. 🙂
All of the metal components are sterling silver. The little heart-shaped bail should fit one of the chains in your wardrobe, or maybe you’ll purchase a narrow length of satin cord and wear this pendant high on the neck for a look that is tres chic! Pendant measures 1-1/2″ from top to bottom.
Contest Rules and How To Enter
Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.
For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.
But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway! There are usually 4-5 posts per week – Monday through Friday – so you can have multiple chances to enter!
When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count to be entered into the drawing! 😀
Today’s question is:
Have you ever cried because you were so happy?
The Boring Stuff . . .
You must be 18 yrs. old. After the completion of the contest, the name of the winner will be listed here. The winner will also be notified by email. If the winner fails to respond to email within 3 days from the time notification email has been sent, the win will be null and void and a new winner will be chosen. The prize will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail
All entries must be received by 9:00 p.m. EST on 06/27/10, and the winner will be selected on or about 06/28/10.
Good Morning!!
Lovely Pendant!
I am so glad you had a great weekend. There are so many of us who are no longer blessed by spending the special day with our dad’s.
I truely don’t remember a time that I cried because I was happy. I remember a lot of times I cried because I was relieved. Maybe relief is really the happy emotion. Maybe people have certain physical releases for certain emotions.
Maybe somebody else will know what the heck I’m talking about ~lol~
Have a great day Crissie–my weather today is my favorite–sunny and HOT!! Hope yours is cool.
xx, Carol
I cried when I gave birth and when my daughter gave birth. So much happiness.
There have been a few times that I have cried when I am happy. I did so with the birth of my children, the first time my daughter said she loved me, when my son brought me a piece of grass and said for best mama. I find such joy in the little things my children do, they are so incredibly precious to me and I find such happiness in them that I cry often when they do something to make me proud or make my heart melt. =D
I’m so glad that you had a wonderful time with your dad and husband. We went to my inlaws and celebrated with my husband and his dad (my father passed away 3 years ago) by ice cream cones and swimming in the pool.
Lovely design! This is weird, but I have burst into tears when I’m watching a movie and something really good happens to the main character. I’m so happy for them that I cry. Have no clue why – must be a hormonal thing.
Oprah’s “Dreams Come True” season! Cried everyday for like 4 months!
I worked in daycare for a couple of years and I ran into one of the families a few years later and their daughter told me I was the best teacher she ever had. It brought tears to my eyes.
I’m glad you had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed our time in N. Carolina, but it was a hot 12.5 hours home on the harley yesterday.
What a beautiful pendant Crystal! I love that color and the heart bail is so sweet!
Sounds like you had a great weekend! Happy late Father’s Day to Sir Beads and your dad as well!
Those Budweiser commercials during Christmastime, with those beautiful Clydesdales horses romping through the snow, always get to me. If I’m in another room, Frank will call for me to come see. Christmas stuff has a way of making me teary, maybe it’s all the warm fuzzy memories, and just the “softness” of the season!
xoxo Paulette
Yep – when my husband returned from his deployment!
I have cried out of happiness – special, touching gifts from family have made me cry before.
Not really…maybe a little teary at graduation? But I tend to not cry in general.
All the time!
Oh, certainly! I get teary at quite a few things.
Yes, once. My tom-cat had been gone for a few days, and I was very worried, because the area where I live is not safe for cats, so I was so relieved when I found him, that I cried from joy.
Sadly, no, but I am still very young!
i have ! the last one is 1 one week ago, when i find out that my testers for my final under thesis both of them are very nice teachers 🙂
thankies for helding this giveaway
Haven’t cried from happiness, but then I’m not much of a crier. I’d love to have a reason to cry in a positive context, though.
Thanks for the chance to win!

Of course, especially when I won the 4th place in a piano competition^^
Hello! What a great giveaway, your pendant is very stylish!!!!
I was crying from happiness when I kissed my lovely daughter, when she born!!!
Yes, I have cried because I was happy. The depth of the emotion surprised me.
I received a Tiffany Charm Bracelet for Christmas of ’09. I have always wanted one. I cried and my boyfriend thought I didn’t like it but I adore it.
I cried at my sister’s wedding – more than I cried at my own! Go figure 🙂
i don’t think i have
Hi! I have cried once at my cousin’s wedding. It was a long but beautiful ceremony. 🙂
Beautiful Pendant (although all your jewelry is beautiful) As for your question, yes I have cried when I was happy. I’m a very emotional person so I tend to cry about everything LOL. Last time was just a few days ago when I got to see a loved one that I dont see to often because we live a few hours away, I was so happy to see him that I started crying!
I cried when I realized that I had grown
Last night, my boyfriend and I were talking over the phone. He said something to me that made me laugh so hard that I cried (for a good 5 minutes, too!). It was something I had said as I was falling asleep, and I totally didn’t remember what I had said, which made it even funnier.
I look forward to more of your giveaways!
Thanks,
Lisa
