Hello Kids! 🙂

We made some good progress on our spring/summer chores this weekend but whew! – it’s been awfully muggy here in New England. And, truth be told; Lady Crystal is kind of a big baby when it comes to humidity. 😉

Luckily, the forecast for the next several days is for more comfortable weather. I’m a happy camper, again!

This week’s giveaway is so, so pretty!

A photo just can’t capture the gorgeous sparkle on this sweet pair of earrings. I used some very special vintage Swarovski components for my design.

You’ll notice faceted oval crystal drops, which are channel-set in gleaming gold-plated metal. For accents, I’ve added glittering (and rare) Swarovski crystal rounds in Lt. Topaz Aurora Borealis. The rounds are interesting in that the top and bottom of the beads gradually form a more pointed shape. Flirty and fabulous, these earrings measure 1-5/8” long, including the 14K gold-plated earwires.

My answer . . .
I would have to say, dusting, although it’s become easier since the invention of the “Swiffer” (That little cloth really grabs the dust!) I think my main problem is that I have little collections of teacups, dolls, and small figurines – so dusting seems to take – forever! 😉

    ALL OF THEM!!

    We had a short time when no one lived with us.. Just Terry and me. We pick up after ourselves and do chores together. We vacuumed and swept all floors, quickly dusted. We don’t leave messes in the bathroom. But that is gone with Laurie, Corey and Ky here. Its just not worth all the hastle nag to clean up. I am not a maid. So lots doesn’t get done anymore. But summer is here and they are out of school so things will be better. They do help, but when school is in they don’t have much more time than I do. Laurie works 12 hr a day at a very physical job so she does what she can. We say if she is not working, she is sleeping and she tries to spend the weekends with the boys.

    So, what do I REALLY hate the most? Folding laundry. Trying to decide which thing is which boy’s and folding Terrys t-shirts. Such a simple task..but I’d rather clean the toilet!

  2. Mopping! Ugh!! I don’t think there’s anything worse than mopping. It just grosses me out… the dirty water bucket. ugh.

  4. I think I hate vacuuming the most. Pulling out the vacuum, dragging into a room, plugging it in, sweep, sweep, sweep, then upplug, drag to another room and repeat. Of course it never does corners so I have to bend down and take a brush and go along the edges then sweep over that place – it’s such a process!

  5. Ironing,it just seems so pointless because as soon as you put it on its wrinkled lol.Mind you try to get away with as little housework as possible:)

  7. My least favorite household chore is cleaning the tub and showers! I am short so it is always hard to reach it all, especially our big soaker tub. Now I am pregnant so it’s even worse.

  9. I hate cleaning period and that is because it never ends. You have to do it over and over and over again. I think the worst is vacuuming although I hate cleaning the bathroom too. YUCK.

  11. The household chore I probably hate doing the most is ironing. As much as I dread doing the laundry, ironing is still up there at top 1. I dislike doing it because I end up bathing in sweat after, and no matter how careful you do it there will always be leftover wrinkles and creases.

  15. I despise sweeping and mopping because it’s very awkward for me (the broom and mop are almost as tall as me!), so my fab fiance graciously takes on those chores 🙂

  19. Oooh Crystal! Your earrings are sooo gorgeous. There’s just something about golden crystals that I just love! So beautiful!

    I’ve mentioned before that I’m a bit of a cleaning nut. I’d have to say my whole daily routine gets pretty tiresome…and pretty boring!

  20. The only chore I *don’t* hate is washing dishes, because I don’t have to move a dang thing to do it. No reordering, packing, shifting, or asking the husband where he wants me to store the weird item that Does Not Belongn Here.

    My least favorite chore, though…LAUNDRY. Yes. Every single part of it is a hazard to my health and sanity. Yeesh. If not for modern machinery, I’d own ONE dress and a coat, and wear nothing when they were being washed.:P

    (and the earrings came today! Hurrah!)

  21. I hate cleaning the bathroom. Since we live in an apartment and have only one full bath that everyone uses, it gets pretty messy quickly.

  23. I really hate cleaning the bathroom. I’m very pregnant right now and I really can’t get the tub well AND reach over my belly at the same time.

  29. I hate ironing, period! It makes you all sweaty and basically raise the level of grouchiness. The fact that no ironed shirt ever turns out perfect makes you sick to the stomach!

  33. Cleaning the shower. I think it’s the wet factor. You have to get in there somehow, you have to get the shower floor, and you end up getting wet or falling over. 😛

    I don’t do much ironing because if I catch
    my clothes as soon as the dryer shuts off and
    hang them up, they don’t need ironing.
    I can’t count the times I’ve missed the dryer
    shutting off and have to turn it on again
    to give the clothes a whirl. And then
    go off and miss the dryer again!!!!! But it beats
    taking out the iron and ironing board.

  35. Oh man – i HATE chores! I guess my least favorite is dusting. It makes me sneeze and it seems like there is always somewhere that needs to be dusted… Oh and Ironing takes a very close second! Oh and vacuuming… I could probably go on and on with this list 🙂

  38. I hate anything to do with “the kitchen”. Shopping for groceries, putting them away, cleaning out the frig to make room for the new stuff, cooking, cleaning the stove, mopping. I don’t mind pressing the button to start the dishwasher or the microwave. Those I like. 😀

  40. I dislike vacuuming the steps! Will do anything and everything else to avoid it.
