You guys are wonderful. š
The questions you’re asking are so varied and so interesting!
Please donāt think I am showing any favoritism! Iām not answering them in any particular order. Iāve discovered that writing the answers is almost like writing a blog post.
So far, Iāve just been grabbing the ones that seemed quickest to answer ā sort of like taking an exam in school. Did you ever look over the whole test quickly and then begin by filling in the ones you knew best? š
I might make a couple of the answers into separate blog posts, not because those questions are better, but because I think the answers would resonate with many of you.
In other news, I have a book and a movie recommendation for you.
If you like historical fiction, Cleopatraās Daughter by Michelle Moran is āa good yarnā (as my grandmother used to say). Itās light enough for bedtime reading, which is a good thing because squeezing in a chapter before bed is about all thereās time for some days. Clenna suggested this book to me and Iām so glad she did. I am embarrassed to say I didnāt realize that Cleopatra and Marc Antony had children! This is their tale.
Last week we saw Crazy Heart. It was a bit intense in parts, but I can see why Jeff Bridges won the Oscar for his role. Maybe because I grew up during the Rolling Stones/Beatles era, I have not always been a major fan of country music, but I really enjoyed the music in this movie!
Got a book or a movie to suggest, by any chance? š
Hugs,
No, I haven’t had time to read lately. But I did see that Crazy Heart was out and will probably rent it. I love both the Bridges “Boys” and think they both are super actors. I used to listen to Country Music until they black balled the Dixie Chicks.
My next movie to see comes out on May 14. OMG, I can’t think of the name but there is a cute little blonde in it and she helps to older former lovers get back together. I see a Saturday matinee in my future!
xx, Carol
Hi Crystal…I never knew they had kids either!
The last books I truly fell in total love with were the four books in the Twilight series. They’re not just for teens, I couldn’t put them down!
xoxo Paulette
I love how diplomatic you are š
The books I read tend to be pretty heady and not really “fun” for most, but Freakonomics would be a great read for any adult, IMHO.
With work and school I haven’t been reading very much except text books and I would not want to recommend them to anyone unless you are into Ethics, Business law or Algebra or economics.
I did win a movie pass to the new Iron Man movie that will be out in a few weeks, so I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Hhhmmmm reading what is that? Maybe some children’s books š
