Greetings! and welcome to my weekly giveaway!
Did you know that you can always see last week’s winner by clicking on the colorful “Giveaway Info” button on the right side of this page? 😀
In the very early days of my giveaways, when there were just a small number of entries, I used to write the names on slips of paper and then draw one out of a hat. Within a few months, there were a lot more entries, so I switched to using the random number generator, and I have been using it ever since!
I like the fact that winning here is just a matter of luck. It’s very fair that way. Although I really do wish I had enough prizes each week so that everyone who enters could win – I’m afraid my budget could never support that. 😉
But don’t give up – there’s one winner every week and you could be next! 🙂
For this week’s giveaway, I have a very chic pair of earrings!
These earrings feature Vintage Lucite beads in a beautiful, rich, cobalt blue with elegant little splashes of gold paint, which gives them a royal look.
For accents, I’ve used Swarovski Tanzanite Aurora Borealis crystals, and 14K gold-filled beads with a fluted design. The artisan-crafted earwires are 14K gold filled.
MEASUREMENTS: just under 2″ in length.
Contest Rules and How To Enter
Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.
For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.
But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway! There are usually 5 posts per week – Monday through Friday – so you can have up to 5 chances to enter!
When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count to be entered into the drawing! 😀
Today’s question is:
Are you the oldest, the middle, the youngest, or an only child in your family – and do you think “birth order” affects our future personalities?
The Boring Stuff . . .
You must be 18 yrs. old. After the completion of the contest, the name of the winner will be listed here. The winner will also be notified by email. If the winner fails to respond to email within 3 days from the time notification email has been sent, the win will be null and void and a new winner will be chosen. The prize will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail
All entries must be received by 9:00 p.m. EST on 01/31/10, and the winner will be selected on or about 02/01/10.
I am the youngest of two children. I do think that birth order can be a big factor in a child’s life. My older brother hit me the day I was brought home from the hospital and continued to act out for years to get attention-even if it was for misbehaving. I love the giveaway earrings! Thank you.
I love the giveaway earrings. A perfect gift for my daughter!
I’m an only child, so can’t relate to the birth order relationships for myself.
Beautiful earrings, Crystal. I am the oldest of two. It definitely affects things. I’ve seen it with my own kids, too.
I am an only child. But i think it does have some affect. I think younger ones have more advantage.
I’m a only child!
lovely earrings!
I am an only child. I did have a cousin my age so he felt like my brother.
I’m a middle child and yes, birth order is very consequential.
I’m the only child in my family and it definitely had an effect on my upbringing and my adult self. thanks for the chance to win.
I am the oldest of 2 girls, and the sort-of-middle child between the 2 older boys and my sister and me. I have been the ‘good child’ and I think that is a result of having to make up for not being a boy OR the baby.
Beautiful earrings!
