Hi there ๐
Welcome to week 17 of my weekly giveaways!
Every Monday I have a new contest and an item of jewelry is the giveaway.
If you are here for the first time, it’s very nice to meet you!
If you are one of my treasured regular readers – let me say again, “Thank you! You are the best!”
Be sure to either subscribe to this blog, or bookmark it, so you can easily check back every week for the latest giveaway and never miss any of the fun!!!
This week’s giveaway is a sterling silver and sodalite pendant.
A pretty blue cabochon stone is the focal point, and itโs set in a sleek sterling silver setting that features graceful swirls and scrolls.
Sodalite is a wonderful โdenim blueโ color with a white matrix.
This piece has a generous bail so it should fit on most chains or cords in your collection.
Measurements: Approximately 1-3/4โ from top to bottom, including the bail.

You have up to 4 chances to win. . .

2. For a second chance to win, leave a second comment that describes your favorite breakfast (maybe one you would have on a weekend morning, or at a restaurant!).
3. For a third chance to win, leave a comment that answers the question: Have you ever made jewelry, and if so what type of jewelry did you make? If you have not made any, would you like to learn how to make it?
4. For a fourth chance to win, leave a comment on any other post in the entire blog. You can use the “categories” on the right sidebar to help you select a post.
You can choose any one, or all, of the above chances to enter.

Thanks for participating and Good Luck to all! ๐
My first paying job was GREAT!! When I was 14, I was a carhop during the summer at this Pop and Mom rootbeer stand (sort of like A & W). I worked there for three summers (from April through October, really) It was SO fun.
My favorite breakfast–hmmm….that would have to be french toast. I LOVE french toast (and my hubby makes THE best homemade French toast, too!!) and of course, have to have some bacon and some orange juice (freshly squeezed)….this is my dream breakfast, right??
No, I have never made jewelry–you are talking to someone who has trouble wrapping a present!! (You know–trying to cut the paper and making a fancy ribbon-HA!!) Any time I try to do anything “creative”, people always ask–That’s nice, ah, What exactly, is it??? SO, no, I don’t think I want to learn how to make jewelry as it would be a lesson in patience for EVERYONE!!
The first job I had was babysitting. Then telemarketing. Definitely not a step up!
I love love love pancakes!
I have made hemp bracelets and necklaces. I would like to learn beaded jewelry.
I will help my mum in doing household chores and she will give me some pocket money every week. Can that be counted as a job?
My favourite breakfast will be:
1 glass of apple/orange juice
1 plate of long yen noodles
1 piece of roti canai
I’ve never made any jewelry so far, but I’m very interested in making earrings, necklace and bracelets. The matter is I don’t have a guide and I don’t have the materials. By the way, I love your handmade jewellery!
Sincerely,
Aik.
My first paying job was at a day care that I worked at after school
My favorite breakfast is pancakes and bacon – with lots of syrup!
HMMM. well, I have helped my daugher make some bracelets from a bead kit she received for her birthday. that is about the extent of my jewlery making
My very first job was babysitting when I was 13. I watched the 2 little boys next door for the whopping price of 50cents an hour. I thought I was the queen of all when I made $4.50 a day.. woo hoo. during spring break until it was summer and I then made $25.00 a week.. Wow!!!! life was so easy back then.
thanks for the memories,
Ok, my favorite breakfast is weird, I love left over spaghetti in the morning for breakfast. Can’t help it. Spaghetti in the morning is wonderful.
thanks!!
I have made jewelry before, The kiddos and I just made some last week, of course it was made out of Yarn, macaroni, froot loops, cheerios, construction paper cut into circles, and triangles. It was great fun.
Well, aside from babysitting jobs, my first “real” job was at Little Caesar’s, where I quickly became the “trainer” for new employees.
My regular breakfast is just yogurt. When I eat out for breakfast, I will sometimes like something extravagant and indulgent like crepes and berry sauce, or caramel apple pancakes, or some such sickeningly-sweet “dessert” breakfast.
When we were kids in elementary school (a long, long time ago!), my friend and I used to make macrame bracelets that we would go door-to-door in our neighborhood and sell.
My first job was babysitting. I got so busy that I had to keep a calendar. I started a savings account and had several thousand saved when I decided to buy a car.
My favorite breakfast food is my husband’s omelets. He puts cheese inside of them. They are so good.
I don’t make jewelry. I’ve thought about it but decided not to. My daughter and sister do. My sister has an Etsy shop and also sells some things locally.
My first job was cleaning the local library on the weekends when I was in high school.
My favorite breakfast is biscuits and gravy.
I made a pair of earrings once but wasn’t really happy with them. I’ll leave the jewelry making up to the talented folks ๐
I worked at a tiny frame shop down the street from my house. I loved it! I felt so grown-up! LOL!
I love oatmeal from a big pot! Yup! LOL! You know…like you get at diners….it has been sitting and almost ‘baking’ in a large pot on the stove all morning! Mmmmm….so good! Grits, too! Love ’em!
I have made a couple of jewelry pieces here and there. I made a bracelet for my Mom for her birthday this year. I don’t do a ton, but I do dabble a bit!
I was a car hop at the age of 16! I was very proud that i was making a little money!
I enjoy eating Apple Pancakes from Bickford’s.
I have never made jewelry unless you count a craft class when I was in Girl Scouts at the age of 10!
I entered a comment on the “Friday Favorites” re a gorgeous painting “Carnation, Lily, Lily Rose” by John Singer Sargent.
My first job is the same job I have now… part-time library assistant. ๐
My first job was babysitting…other than that, I worked at a grocery store bakery. It was awful!
I was a cashier at Bradless.
Thanks for the giveaway!
When I was about 11 my Dad was a baker and I would stick labels on plastic bags which the bread would go in. I used to do it while watching TV and sometimes would fall asleep slumped over a pile of bags.
My favorite breakfast is a fresh bagel (baked that day) with cream cheese and lox and a steaming hot cup of coffee (not the luke warm cup I throw down on a regular morning) oh and if it was served in bed that would be awesome.
I have never made my own jewelery as such but as a 16-18 year old my sister worked for a fashion jeweler and so she would bring the components home with her and i would help her assemble them. This was while she was saving for her wedding.
I am a knitter/sewer so really wouldnt have the time to make my own jewelery now.
I left a comment on the Easter Eggs to Knit blog.
My first job was babysitting-seemed like big money to a 13 yr old!
My favorite breakfast is eggs benedict with hollandise sauce-Mmmm!
I love jewellry but have absolutely no talent in trying to make my own!
The first job I ever had was babysitting. I loved it so much!
I’m not really a breakfast person, but the other day I had an omlette with pesto and tomatoes and it was delicious!
lol My first job? I worked at “Roses” – I don’t even know if they’re still around. They were/are a discount department store (like WalMart). I was a cashier – and actually thought I wanted to stay long enough to head a department. (When you’re 15 that seems like a glamorous job apparently.)
This pendant is stunning – thank you so much for offering such a lovely giveaway! I will definitely be back. ๐ You’ve got a great blog, as well.
Thanks!
My favorite breakfast is french toast. I hate syrup on it – maybe because we didn’t eat it that way as kids. My mom would put butter on the hot french toast, then cover it with powdered sugar. I still love it that way – and it’s the only way I’ll eat it. ๐ Add some bacon and…YUM! I could eat that 3 times a day, every day.
Thanks again!
I make jewelry right now. Nothing like your pendant, tho! I’m just starting to get into PMC. However, I bead and wire wrap. I guess my “specialty” would be the watches I make. They sell like crazy. ๐
i had a paper route
never made anything
favorite is a scrambled mix- sausage..potatoes, cheese, eggs
Hm! The first job I had that paid me money…was a boring smoothie shop fast food job. Very standard stuff, except that I lied about my age to get it…and they were cheating on their taxes…and the whole place was closed for fraud a month after I left! Exciting!:D
But not as exciting as your giveaway;) That is a beautiful piece!
