I’d Like To Thank The Academy . . .

oscarsm1Please Note: I’m in a silly mood so I’m trying to be funny, here! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me set the scene . . .

Cameras are flashing everywhere as I step up to the microphone in a designer gown, with my hair beautifully coiffed, and wearing jewels borrowed from Tiffany’s. I smile broadly as I look into the audience and say:

“I’d like to thank the academy, and also my manager/agent/husband (Poor guy, that’s no easy job!), and my hair stylist, and all of the bloggers out there for their continued support. I could never have done it without them!”

OK, end of dream sequence ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seriously, today I received a lovely pat on the back from Shelley of Coming Home She has selected my blog for the:

Friendship Award

friends

It’s my first award and I’m very touched! Shelley is a frequent commenter here and she’s always a day-brightener! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can take a peek at what she’s up to here.

The award comes with instructions. I must pass it on to five other bloggers, and include the “award” photo and the following pre-written text:

โ€œThese blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to those bloggers who must choose at least 5 more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.โ€

So now, I would like to present the Friendship Award to:

Carol of Beads and Birds My dear adopted “Sis” ๐Ÿ™‚ and a lady to whom I am very grateful for all she has contributed to my blog. Her warm and witty comments, which are brimming with common sense, absolutely amaze and delight me!

Aik of Friends and Family One very sweet and very smart young lady! She will be a star someday!

Donna of This Year’s Dozen Whose talent and generous spirit in sharing what she has learned with others, always makes me smile!

Melanie of Innermost Thoughts of an Uncool Mom Her days are incredibly busy taking care of her little ones, but she can weather any challenge with her wonderful sense of humor!

Julie of Little Cotton Rabbits A very lovely lady with a rare talent for creating the most adorable knitting patterns. You’ll fall in love with her delightful cast of characters. If you like to knit, you’ll be enchanted with Julie’s work!

So when you have a chance, pop on over to these blogs! I think you’ll enjoy them! ๐Ÿ™‚
