If you believe that jewelry can be wearable art, then you will love the work of Cheryl Harris. She has an extraordinary ability to transform polymer clay into beautiful beads and pendants. With her rich palette of colors and her unique talent for adding detail to her creations, each of Cheryl’s pieces is truly a miniature work of art!

This round pendant is smooth as glass and features pretty swirls of sage green, pink, lavender, fuchsia, brown, and white. The pendant is pierced from side to side. The accent beads shown are included. Add your own touches and create something wonderful!

Whether you add beads to make a colorful necklace, or you simply string the pendant all by itself on a purchased piece of leather or silk cord, the compliments will be rolling in! 🙂

Material: Polymer Clay
Measurements: Approximately 34 mm

When the going gets hot…

. . . the “hot” make jewelry! 😀

I know, I KNOW!!! You are sick and tired of hearing me complain about this heat wave. Good news though! Our weather guy says it will finally break tonight.

Can I get a yabba – dabba – doooooooo?!?!

Well, at least I was productive! 😉

I finished this . . .

I love the pendant on this set. It’s by polymer clay artist extraordinaire, Cheryl Harris. (You can see more of her work here.) To complement the pendant, I chose beads in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors – mostly vintage glass, Czech glass, and Swarovski crystals. I do hope the colors are as pretty on your screen as they actually are in person.

Happy August!

Suddenly, the summer seems to be flying! I’ve decided not to be too sad about that though, because I love the autumn! 😀

This weeks giveaway is a pair of earrings made with very unusual and very beautiful Vintage Lucite beads. They have a subtle texture and a matte metallic sheen on their surface. The color is a breath-taking shade of AQUA – it looks icy cool!

Where’s the beef – I mean BEADS!

Since the banner on the top of this blog says “Bead Happily Ever After”, I should be posting about beads some of the time – or at least about things that are made with beads, right? Right! 😉

Here are a few things I finished last week . . .

grnprls

This first pair of earrings feature elegant Vintage Swarovski round faceted beads in a gorgeous shade of forest green aurora borealis called “Turmaline AB”. I think they would be beautiful for bridesmaids in deep green gowns – maybe for a Christmas wedding!

Speaking of weddings, these earrings are a marriage of Czech baroque-shaped glass beads and Swarovski crystals in one of their newest colors, “Air Blue Opal”. The blue has an iridescent quality that coordinates very well with the swirling blues and rose pink hues of the Czech beads.

Finally, because you just KNOW I’m gonna make something purple if I have the chance, here’s a bracelet in a classic style. Tanzanite Swarovski crystals and high quality cat’s eye glass beads are accented with beautiful floral bead caps.

What are you working on lately? Hope you can find a little time to make something soon . . .

Remember! Crafting truly is like taking a vitamin! 😀
