Giveaway! ‘Desert Sunset’ Earrings — 70 Comments

  1. A tip for being organized that I use is to keep track of all of my monthly bills in a notebook and check them off when they are paid. This way I know what money I can spend after my bills are paid.

  2. A tip for saving money is to use coupons. I get mine out of the paper and online. This saves me money every time I go shopping!

  3. A quick easy recipe is chicken alfredo. Cut up chicken breast and brown in a pan with a bit of oil. Start cooking noodle of choice. Take 1 pt. heavy cream, 1 cup milk, 1 stick of butter and cook over medium heat. Add 1 cup parmesan cheese and 1 package of cream cheese to thicken. Throw everything together and enjoy!

  4. to stay organized, i keep lists going constantly – especially with Christmas. i have one list that stays with me year round of everyone that i buy Christmas presents for. the day after Christmas, i am at the mall around 5 a.m. and start shopping for the next year! everything i get is written on the list and it all goes into a storage bin so that i can just pull out my list and that bin when it’s time to start wrapping!

  5. to save money – i clip coupons like a mad woman. i keep everything in a 3 ring binder with each coupon having it’s own slot in baseball card inserts! also, because i have a 3 year old and lots of birthday parties to attend, i go through the toy section every time i am in a store to keep my eyes open for sales on toys. i then put them in my gift closet, so when a party is here, i can just grab and go!

  6. crescent roll chicken – quick, easy, and a family favorite!

    what you need:
boneless chicken strips (or breasts) – the number depends on the amount you are making!
crescent rolls (i’ve used pillsbury and the generic – either work great)
cream of mushroom soup (my husband does not like mushrooms, so sometimes i get cream of chicken – it’s just as good!)
    shredded cheese (any type!)

    preheat oven to 425
    boil chicken
    cut chicken into desired sizes
wrap chicken in crescent rolls (1 piece/crescent roll)
    place in baking dish
dilute cream of mushroom soup (i use a big stadium cup and fill it almost to the top)
    pour soup over crescent rolls
bake until the rolls look like they are done
pull dish out and sprinkle generously with cheese
    bake just a few minutes

    it’s so good!

  7. I use a label maker obsessively. I also make lists for everything in a little notebook that I carry in my purse. I have lists for groceries, sizes for all the members of my family in case I find a good deal, holiday wish lists for my kids, etc… Thanks for the chance to win!

  8. My favorite way to stay organized is to make sure I label all of my recipes with stickers to remind myself of how much I liked each one. Then I know what I’ve made and what I’ve really liked. I make sure I write in any changes along the way too!

  9. To save money I have actually switched to grocery shopping online with PeaPod. I find that I spend less each week because I’m not buying everything I pass and I’m forced to plan all of my meals out. It also saves a lot of time because I don’t have to wade through people at the store… a great way to boost your spirits!

  10. tip for saving money…. gosh, if i could think of one off the top of my head, im not good at all about saving money. i would have to say not having a banking account or credit card. my husband works, and has a bank account im not on the account so i dont have access to it.

  11. My organizing tip as a paper crafter (which is my biggest organizing disaster) is to keep use an old spice rack for embellishments, ribbons, etc. you can see what you use and actually use some of it.

  12. My money saving tip is coupons! cut them and use them. if you throw away a coupon for something you normally use, it is like throwing money in the garbage. If you find free coupons, and you don’t use the item, get it anyway and donate it.

    thanks for sharing

  13. This is my favorite dessert. so simple, delicious and it is good for you.

    sectionized oranges (just the meat)
    crushed pineapple
    sliced bananas,
    sugar or splenda to taste

My kids and husband love it.

    thanks for sharing

  14. Tip for getting organized: Store spices in watchmaker tins; label each glass top; and then store tins together in metal boxes. I have three boxes of tins which stack neatly on my countertop and inside are my spices sorted alphabetically.

    Thanks!

  15. Tip for saving money: Use greeting cards for gift tags. I store all my old greeting cards in a Ziploc bag by occasion. When I need a gift tag for a gift, I pull out an old card and cut out the image. Once I punch a hole in the top – its ready to be reused as a colorful and one-of-a-kind gift tag!

    Thanks!

  16. Quick meal: This one goes back to my college days but still tastes great and is VERY easy. Make up a package of Lipton Butter Noodles (or any other brand). These can be made in a microwave or stovetop. Heat up a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew, stir in your butter noodles, and voila! You have a dinner fit for any college student or…busy Mom!

    Thanks!

  17. I stay organized by keeping a new-fangled cloth grocery bag on the back doorknob. Inside I keep my recent grocery list, to do list, things I want to take to work and any items that need to be returned when I’m out. If I make a purchase that I’m not happy with I immediately put it in the bag with the sales slip. If I like a bottle of wine, I put the empty one in there so I can ask the clerk if they carry that brand. When I leave the house for any reason I take the bag with me. So when I’m driving around town and pass TJMaxx I don’t have to say” Gee I wish I had that shirt to exchange!”
