These “Lime Cooler” Earrings feature gorgeous Vintage Lucite flat teardrop-shaped beads that have pearlized swirls on their surface – much like mother of pearl. To complement the vintage lucite, I’ve added adorable Czech flower beads, Swarovski peridot crystals and Czech glass rondelles in lime green. The earrings measure a very showy 2-1/4 inches long, including the graceful 14k gold plated earwires.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

I’ve had several requests asking me to more clearly explain the rules for entering the weekly giveaway, so I’d like to do that right here and now. Please let me know if there are more questions. I want it to be easy and fun for you to enter! 🙂

This week, you will have up to six (6) chances to enter the weekly giveaway.

You can choose any or all of the following 6 ways to enter:

1st Chance:

Leave a comment answering the first weekly question: What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at any store, yard sale/tag sale, or thrift shop?

2nd Chance:

Leave a comment answering the second weekly question: What’s your birthstone and would you change it if you could? To what?

3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Chances:

Leave comments on any other posts on this blog. They can be left on recent posts or old posts. There are 135 posts – take a peek at the “Categories” on the right side of the page for choices. You can leave all of your comments today, or you can come back during the week to see what’s new and leave them then.

Please note: You do NOT have to tell me that you left a comment on another post. The blog program shows me all of the comments as they come in – so I do not miss any of them! 🙂

Of course, I’d be very delighted to receive as many comments as you want to leave, but no more than six will count towards this week’s giveaway.

A valid email address must be given at time of entry. You must be 18 yrs. old. The name of the winner will be listed here after the completion of the contest. The winner will be notified by email. The prize will be mailed by USPS First Class Mail. If no valid email address is given at time of entry, or if winner fails to respond to email within 3 days from the time notification email has been sent, the win will be null and void and a new winner will be chosen.

  1. My birthstone is OPAL and I LOVE!!! it. Would not change it. However, my other birthstone is pink something or other and I would change it in a heartbeat to Aquamarine, or Blue Ziron … BUT…only if I don’t have to change my Birthday month. Not that I like October so much, or the Scales Zodiac Sign. However, I do like personality traits attributed to Libra and they fit my personality pretty closely. I like being “balanced” and looking at both sides to a situation before making a decision. It is one of the things that my oldest grandson admires about me and is a lot of the reason we have such a close relationship.

Crystal, I love these earrings, even if they are green.

  2. I just don’t have an answer for my best yard sale/thrift shop purchase. I have bought so many things at them, its hard to remember what might have been the best. But if I bought it, it was a good deal.

I don’t shop them much anymore. I am trying to clear my house and donate everything I can to them!

  3. Hello! I adore folkart and I went to a shop and found a 4 foot tall handmade wooden doll for $5.00! She is standing on our porch to this day!
    Many thanks, Cindi

  28. This may not seem like much, but I went to a Just Between Friends sale and happened to find a couple maternity blouses pinned together and selling for $3 for the two of them. Now it seems I’m already outgrowing some of my smaller maternity tops and these look like they will work till the end of my pregnancy!!

  29. My birthstone is tourmaline. I would love to have a diamond, emerald, ruby, or pearl!

  30. My birthstone is a Pearl or the Alexandrite – wouldn’t change them for anything. I love my month’s combo of pearls & roses!!

  31. My best deal ever had to be grocery shopping – my bill went from $263 to $52!! Or my latest purse started at $60 & my sister got it for me for $7 with her discounts & coupons.

Two weeks later I found a t-shirt ticket and after thinking a long time I discovered it was the coat’s ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!They did a mistake and I paid 12$ for a 120 $ coat finally!!!! Since then I look at the tickets carefully… A time later I paid with Visa in a shop and they did a mistake and I paid 300 $ for a 30$ shirt… When I arrive home I saw the ticket and I became enough nervous (I’ve never bought in that shop before!!!!!).
