This week’s “Friday Favorites” features my favorite way to mark my place in a book – and that’s with a little piece of art. 🙂
No scraps of paper or turned down pages for me!
Sometimes I use a miniature print of a favorite painting from our art museum’s gift shop. Other times I might use a handmade gift tag that I’ve received on a present.
But some of my most treasured bookmarks were made by origami artist, Kayo.
Wouldn’t it be fun to see one of these lovely ladies as you curl up with that book you’re currently reading? You’ll find them available in many colors in Kayo’s etsy shop.
Take a little time for yourself this weekend, OK? 🙂
See you Monday for the new weekly giveaway with new questions and a very special prize!
I agree these bookmarks are a work of art .
I hate pages being turned down, unless its in a Sunday Sale Ad for a page of something I want to remember to buy. And I have some cute bookmarks that usually sit on the end table next to my recliner, just in case I need one. Can’t wait until my newest arrives!
Those bookmarks are beautiful! And I agree, no pages turned down. However, I am not creative, and usually just stuff a receipt in between the pages of a book.
Awww… too pretty to be stuck in a book, me thinks. I would display one from my car’s rear view mirror or dangle around my computer. Beauty like this needs to be seen.
My bookmark? (Looking around the room) Seems a small yellow sticky has been my fav of late.
These bookmarks are so CUTE!!! Although I’m a not-so-creative person, I do love to see creative things and little ideas. It makes me happy to know that someone else who’s talented out there is making the world more beautiful with their creations.
I usually use any little piece of paper as a bookmark, shame really..should change that:)
I LOVE these book marks they are soo cute~!
they are beautiful!
I use whatever I can find
Love origami, just love it. I placed some origami lucky stars inside clear glass ornaments for Christmas.
I read a lot of books and having one of the origami ladies to mark my page would be fantastic. Thanks, Cindi
