Ho Ho Ho

Today, I have one more scarf to show you!
Thank you Carol for sending me this pattern last winter. ๐Ÿ™‚

At that time, I made one in a heavy-weight, raspberry-colored yarn, (See it here.) which I absolutely loved!

This time, though, I wanted to try it in a “sport weight” yarn, which makes a much more delicate scarf. It turned out really cute . . . shorter and narrower than my previous one, but because it’s so light, I think it would even be pretty to wear indoors.

Not sure how it shows on your screen, but this is a gorgeous shade of cherry red. It’s a Christmas gift for a family member, but my lips are sealed as to which one. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Ho, Ho, Ho!)

Hugs,

  1. O, it turned out so nice. I have made several of them. Sometime when the spirit moves me, I’m going to test it in crochet thread. I think it would make a cool lace along a t-shirt neck or on a denim jacket.

    Merry Christmas!!

  2. What a lucky family member. The scarf is so pretty, and I think it would be great to wear with jeans or a dressier outfit. I love the pattern.

  3. OoO so pretty! It reminds of the pattern of how lace looks, so delicate and detailed. How long did it take you to make?

  4. Thanks, AmandaSue ๐Ÿ™‚

Gosh, it’s hard for me to say how long it took…. I usually have about 5 crochet projects going at the same time. I pick one up and work on it a little in the evening while watching something on TV.

If it’s a movie, I choose the easiest project to work on – so I won’t have to pay too much attention to the pattern. If it’s just a comedy show, then I can be working on something more difficult because I’m not trying to follow an involved story-line.

I’ve probably been working on the scarf for weeks, BUT – not very often, so I can’t say how many actual hours it took to complete.

Now that’s probably a much longer answer that you would ever expect….. but it’s true! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. ooh, this is so pretty! I remember I took the pattern when you first showed this…but I just snatched it again just in case I can’t find it! Thanks Crystal and Carol! … What a lovely gift! xoxo Paulette
