Today, I have one more scarf to show you!
Thank you Carol for sending me this pattern last winter. ๐
At that time, I made one in a heavy-weight, raspberry-colored yarn, (See it here.) which I absolutely loved!
This time, though, I wanted to try it in a “sport weight” yarn, which makes a much more delicate scarf. It turned out really cute . . . shorter and narrower than my previous one, but because it’s so light, I think it would even be pretty to wear indoors.
Not sure how it shows on your screen, but this is a gorgeous shade of cherry red. It’s a Christmas gift for a family member, but my lips are sealed as to which one. ๐ (Ho, Ho, Ho!)
Hugs,
O, it turned out so nice. I have made several of them. Sometime when the spirit moves me, I’m going to test it in crochet thread. I think it would make a cool lace along a t-shirt neck or on a denim jacket.
Merry Christmas!!
So pretty – lucky family member but the purple/teal one is still my fav!
What a lucky family member. The scarf is so pretty, and I think it would be great to wear with jeans or a dressier outfit. I love the pattern.
OoO so pretty! It reminds of the pattern of how lace looks, so delicate and detailed. How long did it take you to make?
Thanks, AmandaSue ๐
Gosh, it’s hard for me to say how long it took…. I usually have about 5 crochet projects going at the same time. I pick one up and work on it a little in the evening while watching something on TV.
If it’s a movie, I choose the easiest project to work on – so I won’t have to pay too much attention to the pattern. If it’s just a comedy show, then I can be working on something more difficult because I’m not trying to follow an involved story-line.
I’ve probably been working on the scarf for weeks, BUT – not very often, so I can’t say how many actual hours it took to complete.
Now that’s probably a much longer answer that you would ever expect….. but it’s true! ๐
ooh, this is so pretty! I remember I took the pattern when you first showed this…but I just snatched it again just in case I can’t find it! Thanks Crystal and Carol! … What a lovely gift! xoxo Paulette
