Oops she did it again

I swear I’m going to fire that Laundry Fairy!

I left her a note before I went to bed last night . . .

but she let me down – AGAIN!

Look at what I found this morning!!!

You can probably guess what I’ll be trying to finish, today. 😉

I realize it’s tough enough to find time for laundry – never mind reading! But summer is knocking on the door, and there will be times when it’s too hot to do anything but read!

Maybe you’ll spend a day at the beach or beside the pool, and you’ll be looking for a good book!

Well, there’s a great list of suggestions in the sidebar here on the blog. Look under “Info”, then click “Summer Reads”, and you’ll find a selection of titles sent in last summer.

If you have any new recommendations, I’ll be glad to add them to the top of the list! 😀

  1. Its not the laundry I mind, its the rest of the house. I hate house cleaning it seems like I do the same things over and over and over again with no lasting results.
As far as reading goes, I have been reading text books and I start again next Tuesday. Maybe between the end of summer classes in July and the start of fall in August, I can get some summer reading in.

  2. Hi Crystal
I love to read but i always find myself reading non fiction..you know, trying to learn something haha
Well i am a a big fan of Susan Wittig Albert’s Herbal Mysteries sine i am an herb student.Simple and fun herb recipes in each book too!! Besides herbs i love crafts so i was happy to find out that Kathy Cano-Murillo just authored a book called”Waking up in the Land of Glitter”
I have started reading it and have to say that it is cute 😉

    Happy May!!!!

  3. O, I wish I had time to read a book. I barely read the paper anymore. But I read the blogs, so does that count! OF COURSE IT DOES!!

Forget the laundry. It will force you to clean out your closets ~lol~

    xx, Carol

  4. I agree with Kelly – laundry is ok but dusting, vacuuming, washing floors – I really dread that. I keep putting it off, then it looks terrible and I get mad at myself and finally get it done.

Reading? Would you believe I still haven’t finished Cleopatra’s Daughter?! I have listened to a couple of books inbetween – so that’s my goal in the next few weeks.

  5. Hi Crystal!

Gee, that looks so familiar. The laundry fairy has never visited my house either…unless I’m her, and I just don’t know it! I hope you get to some fun stuff today in between all those loads!

I’d rather do crafty things than read most of the time, and I love crosswords, but one series of books I just couldn’t put down (I even read straight through one entire day, and did nothing else…a rarity around here!) was the Twilight series. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed them! You HAVE to read them!

    xoxo Paulette 😉

  6. Laundry is satan’s evil, you need to avoid it to go to heaven 😉

As to reading, I am enjoying the Toronto Life magazine 2010 Restaurant Guide on my frequent trips to the commode. That’s the only reading I get done anymore, but at least it will prepare me for Summerlicious!

  7. I actually dread doing the laundry too. ^^ It’s a living organism I tell you! The moment you’re done with a batch, it piles up again. And it’s worse in the summer because we change clothes more often since the weather is just so hot and humid, so more laundry for me. *sigh*

  8. Yep, the laundry fairy skipped my house, too . . .

will have to check out the reading list; it’s time for a good summer series!

    🙂

  9. The laundry really “kills” me when Malaysia is in the rainy season..

Which the washed laundry will not easily dry… huhu…

so we have to take another option, which is to hang the clothes inside our home…

but that doesn’t help much… added a “smell” flavour to the clothes…huh…

  10. Hi Izzatul Iman 🙂

    Oh, that sounds really difficult!

It makes laundry a double chore, because it takes twice as long to finish it!

Thank you for your comments! 🙂

    Crystal

  11. I would rather do the laundry than
the dishes. My favourite is outside
work. The lawn and gardening. That
    makes me very happy.
