Giveaway – Sea Breeze Earrings

Greetings πŸ™‚

Welcome to my weekly giveaway!

This week, I’m featuring the gorgeous colors of the sea – blue, green, and teal.

Sea Breeze Earrings

I’ve used glittering Swarovski “indicolite” (teal) crystals and beautiful Czech Glass beads that have swirls of blue and green shining through a clear glass overlay. All findings are sterling silver, including the artisan crafted ear wires.

Measurement: 1-1/2 inches in length.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.

For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.

But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway! There are usually 4-5 posts per week – Monday through Friday – so you can have multiple chances to enter!

When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count to be entered into the drawing! πŸ˜€

Today’s question is:

What is the farthest you have ever been from home?

My answer . . .
The Czech Republic. We went to visit our daughter who was there for a study-abroad semester during her junior year of college. The architecture, especially in Prague, is absolutely beautiful and the food was so delicious!

Giveaway – Sea Breeze Earrings — 59 Comments

  1. I’ve been to California, and I’ve been to Florida. And I hated it, deeply. Or rather my immune system hated it. I am apparently built by nature ot be a homebody!
Which I’m glad I found out as a kid, when I was not the one paying for the experience. At least financially. Whoof.

  2. Hi Crystal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at Florence four years ago and I love it. It is a lovely place, lovely people, lovely food (pasta, pizza, capuccino…all is perfect there!!!!!). Its streets smells art and culture and it’s able to move yourself lots of years in the past…

    A big, big hug!!!!!!!!!!

  3. More beautiful blue earrings!!

Sadly, I have never been very far from home. I live in Indiana and have only been in border states and Tennessee. We are home bodies and I guess taking a week vacation away from home then coming back to work just never happens for us. O well, poor me. But we are happy. its our choice not to go.

    xx, Carol

  4. Well i grew up in sussex, England and now live in Ontario,Canada so thats the furthest i guess…..the furthest vacation we have taken is Varedero,Cuba. These earrings remind me of the beach there:)

  5. Hi Crystal!
A few years ago i traveled to Mexico. I was giving a presentation on Computers in Science. I had all my computers, etc set and ready to go. The conference people put me in the basement of a church which was very damp. The chapel was over 150 years old. My equipement wouldn’t work! Talk about a disaster. I don’t think they understood that the conditions just wouldn’t work with computers. But we were able to give the presentation without the technology. The people were wonderful and we were in the mountains which were breathtaking.

  6. Istanbul- It was amazing! I loved it (and as beautiful as all the churches are in Europe, it was a nice change to see some mosques, too). To make it even better, Istanbul straddles both Europe and Asia, so I have now officially been to Asia, too.

I visited Prague on the same trip- it was fantastic.

  7. Lovely earrings, as always πŸ˜‰

In 2007, I went to Israel and now my brother lives there. Gorgeous scenery! πŸ™‚

  8. We went to Germany for the outdoor Christmas markets. It was beautiful and we hope to go back again sometime.

  9. Cologne, Germany going East & Maui going west. Not sure which is further…I’m kinda in the middle of the country. Right on the Mississippi River!

    Beautiful earrings!!

  10. The furthest I’ve ever been is Bayern, Germany. I was visiting my uncle who was stationed there and it gave me a chance to try out the German I learned in school!

  11. Hey
The farthest away I went was China, Cambodia , and France
by the way the earrings looks so gorgeous.

  12. I live in Ireland and the furthest I’ve been is to Australia. I spent last year there on a working holiday. It was amazing! I miss it terribly.

  13. Which home? I left my home at 16 (Cameroon) to Canada (where I was born but had left with 2, by the way), which became my home. I left that home at 22 to go to Germany, where I now live (although I don’t always feel at home here). You choose your answer πŸ™‚

  14. Southern Germany. I was there in the summer, and it was unbelievably lush and gorgeous; I had an amazing time.

  15. I live in Florida and the furthest would have to be when I visit Poland, all the way over in Europe. πŸ™‚

  17. What is the farthest you have ever been from home?

I live smack-dab in the middle of the US…and the furthest I’ve ever been from SW Missouri is Playa del Carmen, Mexico! My grandparents took the entire family as a celebration of their 50th anniversary! It was amazing, and something that none of us had ever done before (or since)!

  18. Gorgeous earrings! ^^

The farthest I’ve been away from home isn’t really very far since I haven’t had the chance to travel to another country yet. It’s just in another city, the country’s capital, around 20 hours travel by land plus almost 2 hours in a ferry. c:

  19. The farthest I’ve been is across the globe to Australia when I was 8, to visit family. Technically however, its not far from home, because its where we came from!

  20. I made a trip to Japan after graduating law school. What an incredible country…I’d visit again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the chance to win!

Well, I’ve always lived on Long Island, and the farthest I’ve ever been away from here is up to Vermont and down to Florida, by car! Not much for traveling I guess, but at least I’ve seen the entire eastern seaboard!
    xoxo πŸ˜‰

  27. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity; the earrings are so pretty!

I can’t answer the question because I’m a military brat and don’t know where “home” would be. I was born on a US air force base in Holland, have lived in Japan and Texas and Boston and Connecticut and DC and a bunch of other places, and now I’m married and randomly picked to live in Pennsylvania. We’ve been here a year but I don’t really consider it “home,” and though both my and my husband’s parents live in Connecticut, that isn’t really “home” to me either. πŸ™ I guess the furthest from home I’ve been in my married, non-military life was when we traveled to Stockholm last winter. That was freaking awesome.

  28. The furthest I have been from home would be when I visited England. It was lovely and wet!

  29. hi!
The farthest i’ve been is germany..
I’m from spain ^^ Can I participate too?

Crystal says: Yes, of course! πŸ™‚

  30. I never go anywhere. The farthest would be 1969 when I went to Hawaii.

  31. Beautiful earrings! The furthest I’ve ever been from home is probably a business trip to Scandinavia, it was wonderful and very, very foreign.

Thanks for the chance to win!

    –Liza

  33. I went one state away without my parents once. Not very far away from home

  34. The farthest I have been is Brussels, Belgium. My aunt and mom took me on a weekend trip to Europe totally free since I had just lost my job (how lucky was I!! – except for the job thing of course) It was absolutely gorgeous there and my first time out of the country – and we got to visit one of my best friends who was studying abroad at the time.

  35. Wow, those earrings are beautiful. πŸ™‚

The farthest I have been from home is to Hawaii [I live in Massachusetts]. I have been there [to Kauai in particular] twice, the first time on my honeymoon…it’s divine!
