Giveaway – Topaz Sky Earrings

Hi! Come on in. 🙂

I can’t believe it’s May – already. But, my calendar shows no more days for April, so I guess it must be true.

First of all . . .

Did you see all the questions that were sent in last week? Wow!

I was amazed at the range of topics – from silly to serious. It will take a little more time to finish answering all of them. I want to give each answer the same attention.

Now, on to the giveaway!!

Topaz Sky Earrings

These earrings are a bit of a contradiction – just like the lady who made them (me). 😉

“What on earth are ya talkin’ about, Crystal?”, you ask.

Well, I like things that are big and bold . . . but I also like tiny little details and miniature art.

I love bright, brilliant colors, but then I love pastels, too!

I love festive occasions with family and friends, but I’m also delighted to spend a quiet night at home.

These pretty earrings are “showy” because of their overall length (almost 2 inches), but since they’re made with petite beads and findings, they also have a very “delicate” presence!

I’ve used faceted Czech glass beads in a rich, smokey quartz color, and accented them with tiny vintage Swarovski crystals in a lovely shade of deep golden topaz. The ear wires are 14K gold-plated.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.

For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.

But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway! There are usually 4-5 posts per week – Monday through Friday – so you can have multiple chances to enter!

When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count to be entered into the drawing! 😀

Today’s question:

As they say on Sesame Street, today’s question is brought to you by the letter “C” for Carol!

(Thanks Carol for suggesting it!)

What was the last movie you saw at the theatre? (It doesn’t matter if it was a long time ago. Did you like the movie or were you disappointed?)

Giveaway – Topaz Sky Earrings — 64 Comments

  1. We saw Wild Hogs with a group of friends and we loved it. Especially since all of us ride Harleys. It was a fun movie and I think we laughed the whole way thru.

  2. First of all, I suggested the question because my daughter took my grandson and his friend to the show to see Clash of the Titans. $31.00 for 3 to get in. $31.00 for one adult and two 12 year olds. Now add popcorn and a drink. I’m 58 and remember paying 25 cents to see a show – a double header at that and you could sit through it all day if you wanted. How can young boys afford to date?

Anyway, I am having a hard time remembering the last movie I saw. I know we took the boys and it was probably 5 years ago. But I can’t for the life of me remember what movie it was.

I have plans to go to the theater in the next few weeks. Letters from Juliet will be released on the 14th. It looks like one of those sappy, feel good love stories and I just want to see it in the theatre. I’ll let you know if I actually break down and part with the $$.

    Have a great day!!
    Carol

  3. I saw Clash of the Titans with my son and grandson.
I love the Harry Hamlin version but this was very good too.

It was a little different but I wasn’t disappointed. Of course the visual effects were fun and scary!

  4. What was the last movie you saw at the theatre? (It doesn’t matter if it was a long time ago. Did you like the movie or were you disappointed?)

I saw Wall-E.. I dont go to the cinema xD But Its a beautiful history.. and I loved Eva so bad!!!!! its a precious history of what could happen to us if we dont take care of the earth we live in… so pretty!

  5. We saw Avatar,it was great.I dont go to the movies very often these days. Its uncomfortable for me to sit so long with fibro and it bugs me when we get stuck near people that talk plus its getting expensive.I only go when its a movie i judge is worth seeing on the “big screen”.

  6. The last movie I saw in the theater was Avatar- it was of course 26 bucks for two people, what with the 3D and all. And I’m glad I did! The new 3D is gorgeous, and doesn’t give me migraines or seizures like the usual movies. And I’m glad I saw it in the theater, because it’s really not worth watching otherwise– it’s a moving spectacle, but would have lost a LOT of ooomph on the small screen.
Before that is was Star Trek (10 bucks for two adults, thanks small-town matinee!) because I am Old School Trekkie, and had to support the tribe.;) And it was awesome, and continues being awesome on the DVD I’m running to death. Yeehaw, Space Western is back!

  7. The last movie I saw at the theatre was “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”. It was actually released last year I think, but my friend and I were able to watch it last Thursday because it was the discounted movie of the week (we only had to pay around 10% of the original price when it was first shown), and we didn’t have anything else to do at the time. It was an okay film, kind of deep and sad. I did enjoy the scenes whenever the characters entered the imaginarium, although I did feel the film was a bit short.

The last movie we did watch upon release was Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. That one was a bit disappointing. The book was not that long, so they could have at least stayed true to most or at least the basic facts, like the characters’ age, for example. I did like the effects though. c:

  8. Last movie I saw was Iron Man 2. It was ok I guess. I wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. ( :

  9. OMG it was a long time ago. It was “Tintenherz” based on Cornelia’s Funke genius book, last year with friends. I loved it almost as much as the book. Almost.

  10. Alice in Wonderland was the last movie I saw in the theater. it was fantastic! thanks for the opportunity!

  11. The last movie I saw in theaters was An Education and it was incredible! I Think Carey Mulligan deserved to win the Oscar for best actress, not Sandra Bullock!

  12. Green Zone with Matt Damon, it was good, obviously highly political, over did it on the action a little bit but it was pretty good all things considered 🙂

  13. The last movie I saw in the theatre was “Kick-Ass”. My boy wanted to see it, and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was inappropriate/violent at times, but funny and amusing as well. The female lead has an awesome role, so that was nice too. I would see it again ^.^

  14. The last movie I saw was alice in wonderland by tim burton and I love it.Great giveaway.Fingers crossed.Marian

  15. The last movie I saw in the movie theatre was “Remember Me” and I really loved it. Cried like a baby!

  16. I watched the Clash of the Titans as 3D. It was beautiful, I loved it, but the 3D effects weren’t good enough. It didn’t have much difference from a 2D movie.

  17. The last movie I saw was Tyler Perry’s movie, “Why Did I Get Married Too.” It was awesome.

  18. Well, last movie I can remember seeing in a theatre was Close Encounters…how’s that for being ancient?

  19. The last movie I saw was Date Night. It was a good movie. I was expecting more out of it. I would not pay to see it again in the theater though.

  20. The last movie I saw was Our Family Wedding. I liked it alot. It was funny with some serious moments.

  21. We saw “Clash of the Titans” a few weeks ago. It was a fun diversion, but not a spectacular cinematic event. I’m glad we waited to use our cheapo passes and didn’t shell out for the 3D version!

Thanks for the chance to win!

    –Liza

  22. The last movie I saw in the theater was Alice in Wonderland. I didn’t like it as much as the original Disney cartoon version, but I didn’t really like Tim Burton’s remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory either. But, being an elementary school teacher, I’ll never think a movie is better than a book, so I guess I should just stick with movies that are just movies and not made from a book movies. 😀

  23. The last movie I saw in the theater was Date Night. It was a little disappointing. Some hilarious moments, but I was mostly just disappointed with the forever long strip club/pole dancing scene. Way to ruin a movie.

  24. How to Train Your Dragon….I went as a chaperon for my child’s bbf birthday party…..it was cute. Before that it was Vanilla Sky…which was awful. I hate going to the movies.I like to be able to pause.

  25. The last movie I saw in the theater was Diary of a Wimpy Kid w/3 of my kids – I can say that really liked it!

  26. The last movie I saw at the movie theater was Alice in Wonderland, Imax 3D it was AMAZING!!!!!!! I loved it. In fact I took 3 Dramamine to see it (vertigo issues) and it was so worth it.

These earrings are fabulous. My mom’s birthstone. Just lovely. Thank you for a fun giveaway. I love giveaways with fun comments 😉

  27. The last movie I saw in the theater was Toy Story 3D last fall. I really enjoyed it, as did my 4 year old!

  28. Hi! The last movie I saw at the theater was the movie “The Blind Side” with my sister. We both loved it. Such a inspirational film. 🙂

    Love this giveaway!!!!

  29. Hi Crystal!
Well the last movie we saw was Avatar and prior to that is was before I had my daughter so a long time between movies! 🙂

  30. The last movie I saw was Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief- it was okay.

  31. Last one was Avatar and it was pretty good. . such build up though!

  32. The last movie that I went to was
    The Bourne Ultimatum.
    I liked it very much.
I like all the Bourne movies.

  33. Hmm…I haven’t been in the theater in a while…Sadly the last movie I can recall seeing was Bruno. It was horrible. I loved Borat (I know…my sense of humor is….GREAT), but Bruno was just obscene and used the same plotline as Borat. I was VERY disappointed…and disgusted after the movie.

    -Cynthia

  34. The last movie I saw was Nightmare on Elm Street, it was decent, but not as good as the originals with Freddy.

  35. HMMMMM.. I rarely watch movies @ the theater. But I think the not so recent movie that I watched was “Villa Estrella”. It’s a Filipino movie! (I am from the Philippines). I did not enjoy it because it was a freaking horror film. I was just covering my face the whole freaking time, oh just half the movie because I left during half time. LOL

    =Tanya

  36. We with my husband went to see the Avatar in 3D. Wow, we felt the mix of ecstasy and delight, it was so great experience!!!!

  37. The last movie I saw was the Disney Oceans one. It was too long for what it was and not very informative. It was like, “Look, here’s an animal. Look, here’s another one.” Very little elaboration.

  38. The last movie I saw in the theater was How to Train a Dragon! My daughter was scared so we had to leave after a few minutes! It was very disappointing! ha

    xo

  39. Last movie we saw was Disney’s Ocean and we did like it a lot. My oldest son is obsessed with ocean stuff, especially otters, so that part was really cool.

  40. The last movie I saw in the theater was, Clash of the Titans. Not the original with Charleton Heston and all the very innovative claymation; but the more recent remake with Liam Neeson as the a very convincing Zeus! 😉

  41. The last movie I saw was Death at a funeral..
it was pretty good. I did find myself loling a few times, but it was pretty over the top. 🙂

  42. It’s been a while since I went to the movies. Last one I watched was Avatar in 3D.. and I’ll be frank, I was very disappointed! I think the movie was way too long.. I fell asleep!!
