Giveaway – Pepper and Paprika Earrings

jugroseWelcome to my weekly giveaway and thanks so much for the wonderful comments last week!

And, speaking of comments, I need your help in trying to figure out how I can best respond to them. Try as I might, I never seem to be able to respond to every comment – every week. I do love reading all of them and I really appreciate each one. One of your choices for entering the giveaway this time will be a question that seeks your input regarding comment responses.

Now, on to the Giveaway! πŸ˜€

Pepper and Paprika Earrings

pepperpaprika

Today, I have a pretty pair of earrings that feature a striking contrast of colors – coral and black. I’ve used lovely, three-dimensional, “Daisy”-shaped beads in sterling silver and then accented them with Czech Jet Black faceted teardrops, and sparkling Swarovski Crystals in a glorious shade of coral called “Padparadscha”. All metal components are sterling silver including the earwires. 2″ in length.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

This week, you will have up to three (3) chances to enter the weekly giveaway.

You can choose any or all of the following 3 ways to enter:

1st Chance:

Leave a comment answering the first weekly question:

For fun . . . imagine that you’ve just given birth to octuplets. (Yikes!) What would you name them? You can assume there are four boys and 4 girls, or whatever combination of boys and girls you choose! πŸ™‚

2nd Chance:

Leave a comment answering the second weekly question:

When you comment a blog, do you like to get a response? If so, do you prefer that the response come in an email, or as a comment on the same post, or as a comment on your blog?

3rd Chance:

Leave a comment on any other post except this one. You can do it today or another day this week. You do not have to tell me that you left a “comment” on another post. The blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them! πŸ˜€

The Boring Stuff . . .
You must be 18 yrs. old. After the completion of the contest, the name of the winner will be listed here. The winner will also be notified by email. Giveaway – Pepper and Paprika Earrings — 55 Comments

  1. Nope, not playing this game. Would not even want to put that energy out in the universe. The power of attraction might zap me on this one. Even if I can’t have them, I still have a 34 year old daughter that could! Lets face it, my house is too small for THAT tribe. Nope, Hello Pretty Girl hatched 3 batches of six eggs this year and THAT is the closest I want to be to 8.

Have a great day Crissy! No soup for you!

  2. Regarding blog comment replies.

I like to leave a comment where ever I visit. I don’t always comment, but I try to. I don’t always think my comment is reply worthy. However, there are some I visit and give PERSONAL comments on, you know not just a little helllo. I like to have a little reply back via e-mail SOMETIMES. It just makes you feel welcome while visiting the blog. No, don’t comment back on my blog or yours. I don’t always get right back and I would like to know what you wanted me to know.

There is one blog in particular that has 153 followers. I would not expect her to reply to each comment. However, there have been times that I made a personal comment or asked a question and never got an acknowlegement. I rarely read her posts anymore.

I think the key word here is acknowledgement. Everyone wants to be acknowledged. It raises your self esteem ~ gives you more self confidence~ enhances your self worth.

You make your blog a great place to visit. I look forward to your posts, and your replies. Yes, we have a lot in common, but even if we didn’t, I would feel welcome to comment here.

Love ya Crissy, you make my day especially on Mondays and every other post day!!

    XX, Carol

  3. I would pick Bibical names. I always wished I would have chosen stronger names for my children. I like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Mary, Rebecca, Sarah and Rachel. Just seems like that would be kind of special!

  4. I really like those earrings! If I make a comment I don’t feel that I need a reply unless I have asked a question. Then I would probably like an email. I know all bloggers are busy and sometimes there just isn’t time!

  5. I don’t expect to get a response and don’t want one unless my comment really speaks to the person.

  6. That’s an interesting question.

I find myself sometimes wondering the same. Reply. Don’t reply. For sure, if a question is asked, I will comment right from my blog or send a personal e-mail if my reply will be lengthy.

Others, if the comments are accolades for my work/blog, I sometimes will post one message thanking “all of the above” posters and include something they each said in my one post. It is truly impossible to reply to each and every comment.

I often wonder if the poster comes back to SEE my reply. I know I have sent pattern instructions on request via e-mail and NEVER heard back from the person. But I will continue to do so since I love my blog and want people to return.

LOL!! Somewhere in all that, I hope, is an answer to your question. πŸ˜€

  7. My all time favorite girl’s name as a kid was Desiree. 2nd choice was Shanay. I got a lot of ribbing from my friends on that 2nd one. Too much like what a horse sounds like, they said. Anyway, having only one child, a boy, I never got the chance to choose either.

    So, now I will.

    Desiree, Shanay, Madison and Shannon.
    Brandon, Tristin, Caden, Jaden

Wouldn’t that be something!! Having 8 kids running around. To feed…

  8. Once again Crystal, your earrings are really beautiful! I think it’s really so generous of you to do a weekly giveaway. I mean, I did just one, when I began blogging, and here you are doing one every week!!! You’re such a sweetie pie! Usually it’s every 100 followers or something like that, but every week…that’s VERY generous, and so, so sweet! Plus you make it so fun, like a game! I always love your questions too, and your other posts as well!

…okay, names for my wonderful four boys would be… Peter, James, Michael and David.
and my sweet girls would… be Michele, Jane, Anne, and Katie.

  9. Hi again! …About the comments and replies. I’ll take them anyway. I love them all! Hugs, =D

  10. When I get a blog response I prefer to get the reply through e-mail cause it’s much easier for me to check that way .

  11. I would name them –
    1. Victoria 5. Cruz 6. Tom 7. Jackson 8. Michael
    2. Grace
    3. Marilyn
    4.Audrey

  12. I enjoyed reading Carol’s comments!! Haha,she’s great !!
Octuplets!? Scary thought here too,but it is always fun to name so i am going to try.
I do not have any children so my choices are always free to change πŸ˜‰
    Raina Nina Rowan ?
    Devin Michael Blane Gideon
    Almost did it!!
I love girls names and i know that there is one that i really like but can’t remember.
Thanks girl, that was fun.luckily most of us will not need to come up with 8 names at once!!

  13. I do not mind if someone comments me back from a blog. I think it is very nice if they have the time, especially if it is personal and not something like..Thanks for the comment.
Sometimes it is awesome and you get to know each other a little more. Chrissy and i got to talk about the Saying Oh Dear Bread and Beer,so cute;)
Necessary would be a hassle,so the ones that do really comment back are very rare.

  14. I commented on your Mini Scarecrow post.

Do you have an email sign up??

Crystal says: I am looking into an email sign-up program so that you can easily be notified whenever I post a new entry here on the blog. Thanks for your question! πŸ™‚

  15. i can’t imagine 8 kids, so i’d answer the one about comments.
i don’t expect a reply, unless i’m asking a question or so, then i’d prefer the answer back on my email. ^-^

    lovely earrings, very pretty giveaway!

  16. Well, I had six myself albeit not all at the same time, but I’ll choose other names for my newest 8 just to be fair:

    Mary
    Gracie
    John
    Jake
    Michael
    Katie
    Raphael
    Levi

  17. I don’t always need a reply to just ‘airy’ comments, but if I’ve asked a question or something, I’d like to receive the followup comment in my email…I don’t normally go back to the comment section looking for a reply…that would be too hard especially if it was a post with a kazillion comments…it would be buried in there.

  18. My names would be

    1.Ryan
    2.Taylor
    3.Brad
    4.Ethan
    5.Kathie
    6.Cindy
    7.Hannah
    8.Madison

  19. Octuplet Names:

    3 Girls, 5 Boys

    1. Samantha (girl)
    2. Josephine (girl)
    3. Bailey (boy)
    4. Nathan(boy)
    5. Reed (boy)
    6. Wyatt (boy)
    7. Myra (girl)
    8. Parker (boy)

  20. The Blog Comment: Yes, I love getting comments back after I leave a comment. Its more personal and makes you feel that your comment was noticed and important. πŸ™‚

  21. This is so fun! If I had octuplets I would name them Madrigal, Sasha, Marie, Antonia, Marco, Ilija, Andrew and Zack.

  22. I love receiving responses back to my comments, but prefer that they come through email.

  23. Er… names… haha here you go!
    1. Ace 5. Edward
    2. Bella 6. Fedrick
    3. Candy 7. George
    4. Dorine 8. Humpy

  24. I don’t expect a reply to any comment I make…when I do get one, I’m pleased as punch, though…I won’t lie. πŸ™‚
    Not necessary, though…

  25. I can’t even imagine all those little feet running around the house. I had 3 kids, with a nice space of 3-4 years in-between–and THAT was hard enough at times.
But if I were to have had octuplets, I’d probably name them alphabetically: Annabelle, Bethany, Callie, Danielle
    Edward, Franklin, Gabriel, Hayden.

  26. Gorgeous giveaway my fingers are crossed I’d love to win. When I leave a comment on a blog I like to get a response via email. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.Marian

  27. I’d have to say that I would like a response if I asked a question. I know most of the ones responding don’t have time to respond to EVERY single comment! It doesn’t hurt my feelings to not get a return comment!

  28. If I comment on a blog, it’s usually just a quick note of appreciation for that post, so no, I’m not ever really looking for a response. I never check back on that same blog for a response, and I probably wouldn’t want an email, if the email just said something like “thanks for commenting” or something like that. I do love it when people come to my blog and comment in return, but I definitely don’t expect it.

  29. For fun . . . imagine that you’ve just given birth to octuplets. (Yikes!) What would you name them? You can assume there are four boys and 4 girls, or whatever combination of boys and girls you choose! πŸ™‚

    Daisy, Rose, Hyacinth, Violet.
    Ash, Basil, Heath, Reed.

  30. When you comment a blog, do you like to get a response? If so, do you prefer that the response come in an email, or as a comment on the same post, or as a comment on your blog?

Honestly, I tend to comment and run – unless the topic is really interesting to me, I throw in my 2 cents and forget I even posted LOL

  31. When I comment on someones blog and they reply I like for them to reply back on my blog, but if they’re not able, then by email.

  32. Hmmm… Octuplets.
Girls would be Penelope, Peyton, Paisley, and Presley. For boys I’d go with Konner, Kage, Kohl, and Kopper.

  33. I don’t expect a response but if there is one I’d prefer by email, otherwise chances are I’d miss it.

  34. My mother was a triplet and they all lived to be 80 or above!
    Here are my octuplets names”
    Girls ~
    Elizabeth
    Haley
    Abigail
    Sarah

    Boys ~
    Spencer
    Alexander
    Casey
    Taylor

    How fun to pretend!
    Many thanks, Cindi

  35. It depends on the blog and the post/comments. Most of the time, I do
not expect a reply. Sometimes, when I do receive a note, I like
    receiving it via email.
    Thanks, Cindi

  36. If I gave birth to octuplets, I would first have a major panic attack.
Once that subsided, I would give them literary names from authors/books that are special to me:

    boys:
    Bradbury
    Henry
    Finn

    girls:
    Sawyer
    Alice
    Margaret
    Maya
    Ainsley

  37. I think naming octuplets would be the easiest thing about having them. I’d go with old fashioned names, because I figure octuplets would stand out already, they don’t need unique names.

    Girls:
    Mary
    Sarah
    Clare
    Grace

    Boys:
    Robert
    Edward
    Joseph
    Thomas

  38. Personally, I really don’t care if I get a response or not when I comment, unless I’m asking a question or have some specific issue that needs follow up. If I do get a response I prefer it to be a reply on the blog I commented on.

  39. It depends on what I am writing about. I guess if I am asking a question I would love a reply in anyway a person would care to reply
