Giveaway – Blue Skies Earrings — 127 Comments

  1. Before buying my dream house on some property, I’d tithe the first 10 percent and save enough to pay the darned taxes on the million!!!

  2. Oh man…my favorite pizza toppings make a taco pizza! Seriously, anything you put on a taco can be put on fresh pizza dough (I buy mine from Trader JOe’s) and then you put all the toppings that need cooking on it and into the oven.

When it’s done, pull it out and add your cold items…don’t forget the taco sauce and sour cream! Slurp.

  3. In my junk drawer are little handwritten notes I left for my husband on special days. They’d look like junk to others, but have all the meaning in the world for me!

  4. OK, the FIRST thing. Thats a bad question for me because I think to technically on this kind of question. I’d figure out who I need to talk to …accountant etc…. to figure out where to put it until I start spending. Then I’d go get it!

But actually I don’t want to say what I would do first, the new car, new house etc. My WHEN I win MILLIONS, I am going to build a new a new, with all the newest equipment, Pet Refuge. The Pet Refuge is an animal rescue in Mishawaka Indiana. My dream is to build them a state-of-the art facility with on staff Vets and paid employees, not just volunteers.

But a million won’t buy that much today. After taxes you’d get a new house, a couple of cars and not a whole lot more.

  5. My favorite pizza is Chicago Style minus the meat unless its bacon, with tons of cheese.

Or Bruno’s stuffed pizza in Elkhart Indiana. Vegetable Stuffed pizza, easy on the sauce, 2 inches thick stuffed with a ton of cheese….sooooo good.

But, for a quick lunch on the way home from shopping on Saturday, Lil Cesear’s Pepperoni is a great take home to the boys..$5

  6. OMG, junk drawer? How bout junk drawersssss, plural. Do you really think that a man with a 2 stall attached garage and a 3 stall DEtached garage that can’t fit cars in it would only have ONE junk drawer?????

Just a minute…let me go check his come home from work junk drawer to see whats there…….

Ok, I’m back. Well I didn’t look to see the dates on the change. And I know the conch hat band thats in there is pretty old. But I found a Chewbaca Pez Dispenser that I would say is about 25+ years old because I think it was my daughters. We still have original still in the box star war figures in the attic and an original Darth Vader figurine keeper. I loved Star Wars. I see a lot of my husband when he was young in the Harrison Ford character of that movie and also in his early Indiana Jones.

I always write you a book, don’t I. Thats how I talk too. My mom used to say I talk just to hear myself talk.

  7. The very first thing I would do if I won the lottery……yell, scream, do a big snoopy dance, smooch everyone in sight!

  8. I like everything and anything on pizza. So I will tell the one thing I don’t like…….black olives.

  9. The oldest thing in my junk drawer is 3.5 yrs old. That’s when we moved into this house. But of course that’s not talking about the previous junk drawer “carry over” from our other house. LOL

How not to have a junk drawer: A place for everything and everything in its place. Hmmm a junk drawer IS a place. I guess there is no way not to have a junk drawer.

  10. Oh, this is so much fun! I love how you can enter … and I love the earrings! 🙂
Ok, if I would win the lottery first thing I would do is probably rather boring – I would pay my debts that I made during university studies. Not very exciting – but I hate owing money! After that I would like to have a place for my daughter to grow up … a place with grass and nature, where I can have a pet or two … and no neighbours that will complain if the kid is too loud! If there is still money left after that … I would travel somewhere!

  11. On my favourite pizza there is CHEESE!!!! Definitely alot cheese!
The rest of the toppings can vary considerably. 🙂 One of my long time favorites is tuna, tomato sauce, onions and cheese! Can’t go wrong with that one!

  12. Oh, I don’t have ONE junk drawer but MULTIPLE junk drawers! 🙁 And I cannot not even tell you how old the oldest thing is – in most of the junk drawers (and boxes and bags) I don’t even know what’s in there until I look!

My advice on how to avoid having a jung drawer: ALWAYS put stuff away right after you used it – or throw it away if you don’t intend to use it anymore. But obviously this advice does not work for me at all. 🙁

  13. I would buy my parents a villa in Tuscany!! Thanks for the giveaway; the shape and color of the earrings are lovely.

  14. Yes, I have a junk drawer…and the oldest thing in it is a teddy bear I received at the hospital when I was about four years old!

  15. I’d call my parents and tell them to take a week off work and get together with their best friend (an architect), ’cause the time to design the cabin they’ve dreamed of for years has arrived 🙂

  16. My solution to “the junk drawer” is its more mature sibling: “the drawer specifically delegated to Random Items.” I know–it sounds like the same thing! Hear me out! When you think about it, most things that end up in a junk drawer are either that–junk–and can be tossed, or are things that really belong somewhere else…so if it isn’t “Random” enough to not belong in another handy/appropriate place, you won’t think of putting in that drawer! But that leeway is still there, where there is a little hiding spot to tuck the “Randoms” (like that one deck of playing cards you own or all the appliance instruction manuals or the laundry coinpurse) into. Trust me–if you can say your junk drawer is tidy and efficient, life is never as dark as it seems! hahah 😉

  17. The first thing I would do if I won the lottery is… probably pass out. That’s the truth. The first FUN thing I would do is take a trip to Egypt. It’s just one of those things I’ve always wanted to do.

  18. Yes, I have a junk drawer. I have no idea what’s all in it much less the oldest thing. I will guess that it’s either fire sauce from Taco Bell or possibly a seed packet from an old forgotten Chia Pet. (It’s a big drawer!)

  19. The first thing I’d do if I won the Lottery would be to pay off the little debt I have!

  20. Yes I have a junk drawer, but it’s actually a small tub that I hide away. The oldest thing in there is some old ikea harware to a desk I have.
I think some sort of catch-all place is needed so getting rid of a junk drawer all together might not be such a good idea.
Odds and ends that are needed should be labeled and put in there in case you ever need them, just make sure to go through the drawers and get rid of things you don’t need often!

  21. But of course I’d like to win these earrings! I love earrings!
If I won 1.000.000 dollars in a lottery, I’d scream. Then I’d cry. Then I’d call my sisters and scream in the telephone. After I had calmed down, I’d want to see all that money at once. I’d probably faint.
The first thing I’d buy with the money would be freedom from debt. Then I’d buy myself a house. Then I’d start going through my 101 things in 1001 days list. 🙂

  22. My favorite pizza – my husband calls me sick, because I want pineapple on my pizza. Ham and pineapple. Or ham, curry and bananas. Or chicken, curry and bananas. Anyway, I love fruity pizzas. And I love those earrings 😀

  23. And, yes, I do have a junk drawer. Or actually, a junk box. To be honest, several. *blush* we call it “Henric cleaning box”. My husband’s name is Henric, and he cleans by putting everything in a box or paperbag and “hiding” it in the nearest corner. Then we procrastinate seeing what’s in the box. The oldest boxes are from the time we moved to this apartment, 12 years ago. I don’t look at his boxes. My oldest stuff in a box is “only” about two years old. Going through the boxes is on my “101 things in 1001 days” list…
How to avoid having one? Have a tray with you when you clean, and empty it as it gets filled up. Immediately. And when you’re done with cleaning, empty the tray the last thing you do. That has worked best so far.
Also, it helps to have a space for every item in your household, and putting every item in its space after use.

These earrings would not get into the box 😀 I have an earring holder on my wall, where they always get after use. 🙂

  24. If I won the lotto, I would first give 10% to my church (tithe) and use some of what’s left to pay off our mortgage and then save the rest.

  25. Yep, I’ve got a junk drawer and the oldest thing in it is probably an antique screw driver that we got from my father-in-law years ago – I still use it from time to time.

  26. Money! OH I NEED IT! HAHAHA I would pay off all my bills, build onto my house BIG TIME…and go to the beauty shop…get a hairdo..go get me some clothes…go buy the kids clothes….oh my..I’m dreaming!

  27. 1 junk drawer in the kitchen…it is small.

How to avoid it? Get rid of husband and son that are a pack rat! HAHAHA

  28. Hello!

Beautiful earrings! If I had a million dollars… I believe I would buy a house near the equator. 🙂

    Thanks for the great give-away!

    Blessings,
    Mara

  29. I have always sworn that if I won a million dollars or more, the first thing I would do is give at least 25% to charity. I swear…I’m not making this up!
Thanks so much for the generous giveaway!

  30. My favorite pizza has extra cheese…pretty simple!
Thanks so much for the generous giveaway!

  31. I actually just cleaned out my junk drawer this weekend. I think the oldest thing I found was a coupon that expired 4 years ago!
Thanks so much for the generous giveaway!
