I would love to return to this era – just for the clothes! πŸ˜‰

but just look what they do when they stick together”

Thank you, thank you, sweet friends, for all of your comments this week. You are absolutely the best!

By the way . . . I answered your comments from yesterday right there in the comment section of yesterday’s post! Going forward, I’m going to try to do that whenever I can.

Hope you have a chance to enjoy a little “you” time over the weekend. πŸ˜€

See ya Monday . . .

Hugs,

  1. I love the Victorian clothes, as well. But I figure if I lived during those times, I’d be a pauper – so there goes my lovely clothes!

PS There’s a little slope beside my back door that the kids slid down when it snows – I can watch from my bathroom window or the back door. I love it. (But I stay inside!)

  2. Oh, Crystal…

I had a white muff and hat like that. Just last year.

    Just kidding.

But seriously, I DID have a white furry huge floppy hat and muff. I loved it. Wore it everywhere. To work, to church, to bring in the mail. I finally threw the set out after seeing so many people stare at me. It was no longer natty.

  3. Do you have snow?We have had several dustings but then it disappears.Id rather have snow than freezing rain!

  4. Hey Carol, Did you say baking? We’ll all be right over! πŸ™‚

Yeah Clenna, I have a feeling I’d be right along beside ya in the pauper category. Maybe we’d be servants for a lady with lovely clothes. Maybe we’d dress up in them – when nobody was looking? πŸ˜‰

Donna, I’m not surprised! I’ve mentioned before that you’ve missed your calling – fashion designer! πŸ™‚

No snow yet, Michelle. Usually we have SOME in November, but not this year. πŸ™ (Fingers crossed it arrives soon!) I’m with you on the freezing rain – don’t want any of that!

  5. Hi Crystal! I’d love to wear those clothes too! There’s a Victorian Christmas festival in Port Jefferson, a charming old town over here this weekend. There are actors who dress up and stroll the streets, and dances and ice skating…so I told Frank I wished we could dress up too…they even tell you where to go to rent an outfit…Well, lets just say he won’t be donning a top hat this weekend, or tight pants and a short jacket either…he’s such a party pooper sometimes! Darn it, I would love to put on one of those long coats, a pretty bonnet… Men are such sticks in the mud sometimes! …and you know I love what happens when snow flakes stick together!!! xoxo Paulette

  6. Oh Paulette!
Now THAT would be fun – getting the husbands to dress up in Victorian clothes with us! Probably not going to happen… but we can dream. lol πŸ˜‰

  7. Sorry I missed yesterday, school, homework and then we went to the winter walk last night. I’m a jeans and t-shirt gal, those clohes would scare me to death, I cannot imagine how hard it was to get around in all that garb.
