Friday Favorites – Breakfast

hearts-border31

It’s Friday, which of course means that Saturday and Sunday are upon us. Woo hoo!

In my humble opinion, the best part of the weekend is BREAKFAST! πŸ˜€

There’s time to linger over a leisurely meal with extra cups of tea or coffee.

And, there’s time to have something more substantial than a quick bowl of cereal or a piece of toast.

In our house, it also means that I’m off cooking duty, as Sir Beads is usually the “weekend breakfast cook”!

Here’s what he made last Saturday morning!

Hope you have a chance for a nice breakfast this weekend. If nobody feels like cooking – then just go out. That’s even more fun and usually a good deal, too!

Thanks so much, everyone, for another great week of comments.

Meet ya back here on Monday. πŸ™‚

Hugs,

Friday Favorites

As you probably know, I love vintage images. πŸ™‚

Just look at these little ladies! I’m guessing they continued to meet as the years went on, but eventually it was for tea instead of milk!

We had fun this week, didn’t we! I’m looking forward to Monday for a new giveaway, a new question, and another week of chatting. Hope to see you then!

Oh, and please do something nice for yourself this weekend, ok? πŸ™‚

Hugs,

For this edition of Friday Favorites, I have a very lovely Vintage Trade Card.

These cards were given to potential customers as a way to advertise – so much nicer than today’s spam, don’t you think? πŸ˜‰

One could probably burn a few calories wearing such an important hat, but I must admit that I think it is gorgeous! πŸ™‚

TGIF πŸ˜€

Earlier in the week, Paulette suggested that I answer this week’s giveaway question, and since that question is about a “favorite” teacher – it’s perfect for Friday Favorites! πŸ™‚

In all of your years at school – from the early years to the later years – which one teacher was your favorite and why was this teacher memorable?

Please click here to read about the teacher who made the biggest impression on me.

What is Love

hearts-border31

Is it Friday already? I have so much more to do!

You, too?

Well, that’s ok. We did our best. Let’s end the week with a smile . . .

This edition of Friday Favorites features an antique Valentine and also some children’s definitions of “Love”. πŸ™‚

Isn’t this pretty enough to frame?

ValentineSweethearts

A group of little ones were asked the question:

“What is Love?”

Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.

Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.

When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.

If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you don’t like to play with.

Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.

You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget, and it’s good for them to get reminded.

Have a great weekend!

Meet you back here Monday for a new giveaway, a new question, and more fun! πŸ™‚
